Nice safe Dooley type hire, we truly have some geniuses at work up on the hill. We've officially entered mediocrity on all levels.

By the way, if you haven't been to East St Louis, it is definitely a trip you need to take to make you enjoy what you have. Exactly, what I think the program needs. He should be able to get down to the players level.

Calm down guys... Hammy is just restoring balance to Tennessee athletics... Basketball team must be completely irrelevant for the football team to succeed. Hammy has taken the first step to ensure the basketball team will be irrelevant.

i hate it, but i gotta admit things will probably return to normal now, or at least as they were when i was on campus in the late 60s and early 70s (the heyday of the sainted mears), when we were perennially the second best team in a thoroughly mediocre conference.

Expected reaction from the vol "faithful". Some not all of you are plain retards, I swear...Why is it u expect every big name coach to beg and plead to come to UT? So, we have a storied tradition and one not many kids now days even know. The same crap happened with Dooley as with the new BB coach..Failure, guy sucks, shuda got a big name....Unless we have a Nick Saban like football coach and a Roy Williams like BB coach,most of u crack heads will not be happy...I'm more ashamed of the reaction by some of the retarded fan base as I am the atheletic dept now..Go play in traffic...UTK Class of 98' sends..

To raise money (and he is actually very good at that). That is actually one of the primary jobs of an athletic director. Or did you think that hiring of a coach every now and then was his entire job? If so they get paid way too much.

Young up and comer from a great coaching tree, improved his team each year at Mizz st and named coach of the year in his conference...sounds like a solid hire to me. Hopefully he can silence all you crybabies over the next couple years :loco:
