Oh yes, so comparable, LSU and ISU as opponents. What was Bama thinking taking the number 1 team to a tie? How crazy. Since LSU is so great I guess they should have no trouble beating them again, right?

That's their thing, and they win...they also scored like 50 points a game.

Since when do team statistics play into this decision? Wins and losses against quality opponents matter. OSU clearly has the edge.

Stats shouldn't matter, but the analysts use them. Bama gets the nod with the #1 ranked defense in the Country, OSU #117 ranked defense.

They use stats all the time to state a team is better than another.

OSU had a chance to make a sports movie by beating ISU and then just playing LSU. Instead, they showed why movies are just movies and not real life.

The two best teams in the nation are Bama and LSU, if you don't like that, don't watch. I hate Bama and loathe Les Miles getting his horrible coaching covered by his talent, but they are the two best teams, and it's not even close. Deal with it.

Opinions are like you know what, everyone has one.

Until they play on the field, nobody knows for sure. Point here is LSU and Bama already have, in Tuscaloosa.

It means Alabama wins the National Championship. It's not "fair", but it happens. Look at last night's Michigan State/Wisconsin game. Spartans win in the regular season, but get screwed out of a BCS game because they didn't win the "important" game.

An empty championship, because we don't know which team is better.

I think the two best teams are playing, agreed. But it doesn't settle who the best team was this year.

If Bama wins, I hope the AP leaves LSU number 1. Since we're talking about resume's, they'll still have the best.

If Bama had won the first game, I'd still be in favor of OSU playing for the title despite LSU having a considerably more impressive resume than Bama currently has.

I agree. It's a flawed system and for this reason, I will be pulling for LSU. It's heartbreaking to see teams prove something already and then be told to do it again only to lose when the stakes are higher, just like Michigan State last night. Yet Wisconsin basks in the glory. I end this post with a GEAUX TIGERS.
