Bruce Feldman and Tim Brando criticize the SEC's handling of LSU/Florida

-They just wanted that week off to get Del Rio and the defense healthy. that storm was a hundred miles from them and they had ample time to work on scheduling. If by the grace of God we beat Bama and win out and they do too, it will be a disgrace if the SEC hands them the East. God I hate Florida. Buncha weenies, and that includes their sorry coach too.

Would be interesting to hear each team's take if the hurricane had hit the gulf coast near Louisiana instead of the Atlantic coast near Florida.

I'm willing to bet we'd have opposite stances from either side.

Maybe, but that is the reason you have the SEC. The SEC failed to mitigate the potential impact. It's not complex, now the SEC can't damage either team for something the SEC was responsible for and failed to do. It's actually very simple. Which is why Sankey (douche) had to misrepresent the facts on TV, as he had to take the Florida story because ultimately he signed off on this either way.

Uh.....if we win out we still go regardless of what they do

LSU must cooperate with bad actors if the SEC says they have to and you damn well know it.

How about LSU play the Vols. Winner gets to stay in the SEC. "Any place any time".

THAT is the kind of attitude you should have you spineless <deleted>

The SEC could switch dates to get a 10/29. And LSU could just take the forfeit.

I think you are spineless and selfish.. where were you last week? YOu don't care... all you care about is your team.... the exact opposite of what Sankey said... "family". You are the spineless coward, let me see.... Well, you can live your life that way.

I think you and others are emotional crybabies... LSU doesn't have to play and they don't have to win. You don't like it... tough. Ultimately, I am unsure how this plays out... SEC could switch some dates... I think most fans would rather this is not played.... take the forfeit.

I say award the forfeit now... you'll be crying even more.

In those cases it generally isnt the weather, but the resources of first responders that could be better used ib areas of disasters rather than babysitting a bunch of drunk college kids. I also saw where a large number of their players have families in the immediate danger area. Contrary to popular opinion, there are things in life more important than college football.
Not sure why everyone keeps ranting about this. If the game is needed it will be played. No way the SEC sends Florida to a championship game without playing that game. Wont matter anyway once GA beats Florida. Plus if the Vols handle their business, there is nothing to worry about. If the vols dont fumble 6 times nobody cares about that game. There is no guarantee that Florida loses to LSU.

Lol thanks for that post. You are obviously just trolling and trying to stir **** up with no other merit.

Obviously you are trolling as you have nothing logical to say... at the end of the day you are only happy if Florida gets a forfeit (or equivalent) or LSU beats them. You don't really care about anything but yourself.

Keep talking. Keeeeeep talking

Okay. If the tables were turned and the Vols benefited from the game not being played, you would be telling LSU not to cooperate and you would be agreeing with me.

The irony. :eek:lol: I can feel the love, you just want what's best for the conference. :eek:lol:

Nope I would not. You have to play the game.

The Vols will be fine. No way Fla wins out.

And keep on with your troll bait posting. Please by all means. Notice the posts got edited?

How about both teams being the problem?

It very well could have been rescheduled on Sunday as UGA and USCe did. Or today. Neither team wanted to commit. Both are at fault along with the SEC.

This is my take as well.

If we learned anything this weekend, we learned the SEC commissioner has no juice.

Sankey came away looking like a bad parent getting manipulated by two extremely spoiled children.

I had a thought if they don't play the game.

Go by conf wins only. No losses count. The tie breaker would be head to head match ups. If Tenn is 6-2 and FL is 6-1 then we tie in wins thus giving us the tiebreaker with the head to head win.

It is a legitimate option if the games aren't played.

I guarantee you would not hear a different stance from me. This is not the first time a game has been postponed.

I find a lot of this comical as neither of these two teams are going to end up being a factor in anything.

And whether people want to admit it or not, that's the "issue" most folks who supposedly care about (name whatever it is here) are really concerned about.

If this was Vanderbilt-Mississippi State, nobody would give a damn.

I will, for sake of argument, acknowledge that it is possible for Florida to be a factor in the SEC East race. I don't think they are going to be and that will become evident soon enough.

However, LSU has Ole Miss, Arkansas, Texas A&M, and Alabama left on the schedule. And, despite popular opinion here, a game @Florida was not going to be sunshine and rainbows.

The only thing this contest will determine is a winner between Florida-LSU and pecking order considerations for which teams get invited to the Belk Bowl or Music City Bowl.

While I don't disagree with you 99gator, I do not believe the best stance is for us to wait and see. If we just sit aside and waited the argument could be made that we didn't care enough to push for a solution earlier... especially when there is no time left to do anything about it.

just make the seccg representative based on divisional record and the game can eff off. problem solved.

Exactly what could LSU do? LSU can't force a team to play.

I think you are speaking out of emotion. I can't think of one thing LSU could have done, there is no reason for LSU to cooperate going forward. If this happened to your school, you would be saying the same thing. How about the Vols figure out a date they want to play Florida again, this time in Florida? Winner take all.

Funny, it appears the pot is calling the kettle black in this situation.

And we've already played Florida, so the latter half of your post makes no sense. Don't troll, it's unbecoming of a visiting fan on this board to do so.

Good point.

The non-conference games are not going to be rescheduled after the season... both teams would owe the opponent a buy-out. Further, the team that travels would also lose home game revenue. The common sense and easy solutions came and went last week, and were rejected in full.

Not at all, LSU tried to play the game... you can't make another team play. None of your posts make sense and make you come off as a crying troll. You don't care about anything but your desired outcome... assign the L to LSU and be done with this nonsense... I'm completely fine with L for LSU, and I said so last week. No reason to cooperate with the SEC, if you don't like it... too bad.

This!! All the commissioner needed to do or do now is tell both parties that if they don't play the SECCG representative will have to be determined by divisional records. He should have already done that and got out of the way then both parties could or can do what they want.

The game doesn't need to be played. Schedule the game I say, and award LSU the L. There is nothing complex about this, you want a desired outcome.

From Clay Travis and Stewart Mandel on Twitter: Negotiations ongoing for Florida-LSU to play on Nov. 19. Florida will play Presbyterian on Oct. 22 and LSU will play So. Alabama on Oct. 29. Stay tuned!!

So there LSU-SIU that would solve everything and you don't have to forfeit!!
