Bruce Feldman and Tim Brando criticize the SEC's handling of LSU/Florida

Greg Sankey, should be fired. Who hired this clown? Syracuse Grad, he's a viable option because he worked in the office for years? He has been indecisive about the LSU-FL game and I for one think he needs to GO!

It's been simple from the beginning. Sankey grows a pair and reads the rules and makes an interpretation.

1) 8 games to be eligible.
2) Winning % based on eight games. Let FL and LSU figure it out.

If the SEC commish was going to put his foot down we would be watching LSU v. UF tomorrow. Why involve UGA. UF is the team that has gained an advantage with all this. Now the solution seems to be mess with UGA'a season or cause LSU to break it's agreement with South Alabama. It's pitiful.

Apparently they used the same criteria we used to replace Doug Dickey with Mike Hamilton.

This guy is a clown........ I think the conference as a whole should ( if possible get a petition to get this clown replaced) If anyone watched his interview on SEC Now should hold the same opinion.

Kramer was an A&& but did was was best for most that was concerned. This guy is a fool! If too strong on my opinion, sorry, but this guy has NO BUSINESS being our SEC commissioner......NONE!

If he puts his foot down and say winning % is based on total SEC wins against 8 games, trust me they will figure out something.

Until he does that, there is no incentive for either team to figure this out. In fact, there is more incentive for FL to not figure it out.

I am sure something will get worked out. But we almost lost to Vandy. I really doubt this is going to be an issue.

The rule for eligibility is each team "shall play 8 SEC games". As we agree, if he enforced that, he won't have to do anything. In fact, FL will more than likely have to take a forfeit to give LSU their 8th game.

Safety and cancelling the game is not the issue. The fact you do not have a rescheduled date like today, or tomorrow, or any date for that matter is the issue. Like every other team that was impacted by this storm.

After Sankey's words yesterday during our game and until that rescheduled date is set, the "whining" has growing credibility each and every day.

LOL, the ridiculousness continues. Its been a few days, and just one business day. You don't reset the logistics of another weekend to play this game that quickly.

It was in the RF that Hubbs said a meeting is taking place in Atlanta for this fiasco. They better either reschedule the damn game or not allow FL or LSU to be in the championship without the 8 games being played. In other words they are ineligible unless they work this out. FL should already be excluded for having taken advantage of the situation already. They easily could have played the damn game yesterday for crying out loud. They had recruits there- does the commish know that?

Interesting - seems like a solution but I am sure that one of the three teams will have a problem with it.

Should not be to hard the set up. Comish should use his weight, if he has any, and say tough just do it ,or as someone on her said ,no championship game for any of you.

Could move SEC Championship game back one week and play it Dec 3. Almost 2 months to get everything in place and details worked out.

Every single game that was impacted by the hurricane was either played or rescheduled. With one exception. This is total mismanagement.

Yep, and to respond to lawgator, they knew storm was coming well in advance, and that storm could have wide range of impact from minimal to worst case. So they had time to have plan depending on each scenario. Even if it had been worse than what they got, they clould have played today or tomorrow again if they had planned like should.

He got tricked by Florida on this one. They kept having meetings/conference calls/emailing back and forth then Florida said "ooohhh we can't do it" at the last minute. They knew they could pull the old "you don't want us to be unsafe do you?" excuse if the SEC objected. Funny every other team on the east coast has either played their game or has it rescheduled. Sankey should have told Florida in no uncertain terms, "have your stadium ready and hold the game no later than 8PM Sunday or it'll be forfeited". I would bet they'd have found a way to have it safely. I just checked, it's sunny and 83F in Gainesville right now.

It got moved to Around the NCAA forum but someone posted the SEC regs about this. Basically you must play 6-1-1 to be considered for SECCG. If any team doesn't they have a kind of court hearing about it. One person, coach or AD, from each team and they vote on it. Takes that spineless commish out of it. Don't think any school would vote to let UF in if they don't play their obligatory 8 games.
