Bruce Feldman and Tim Brando criticize the SEC's handling of LSU/Florida

Yep, and to respond to lawgator, they knew storm was coming well in advance, and that storm could have wide range of impact from minimal to worst case. So they had time to have plan depending on each scenario. Even if it had been worse than what they got, they clould have played today or tomorrow again if they had planned like should.

I'm not surprised that you are ignorant as to the situation.

That you insist on commenting despite that is a bit surprising.

I like the bye week scenario because FL and LSU will have their bye weeks now vs getting two bye weeks during the regular season. Brings it back to an even playing field.

GA doesn't lose its bye week so it is all good.

That case TN should have demanded a bye week during this 4 game grind.

No, it's not.

People want what they want and they want it now.

And when it gets resolved and rescheduled, people will still ***** up a storm (pun intended).

If Tennessee loses to Alabama and if this game is rescheduled for 11/19 and Florida ends up running the table.....people will still whine and moan.

It's getting so bad at this point that I am starting to believe that is exactly what's going to happen.

No one gives a damn about pesky little facts or the details of this situation and what made it different.

Well, since you are so informed, please share your info that I apparently do not know.

Btw, I do not think it will matter because I think Florida will lose more games, it just that they appear to be trying to use the storm to get out of likely loss.

This is pretty easy, Florida acted in bad faith. The SEC failed to mitigate the damages or impact. Sankey acted in bad faith by misrepresenting the facts in the interview yesterday.

Florida got what they wanted, any potential solution will just impact LSU further, and continue to reward the bad behavior of Florida/SEC.

Don't give LSU a win, but give Florida a loss. Change the rules to where teams can't get insurance for conference games should help as well.

No reason for LSU to be in this SEC crap show.

So, let me get this straight. Florida is giving up its revenue from one of its 7 home games and sacrificed their biggest recruiting weekend of the year so that.....

This particular team would have a better chance (not even close to a sure thing) of making the SEC championship game where they more than likely would get killed.

Is that it? Do I have that right?

It is very simple from my perspective. Just play the game before the SECC game. I don't care when or where or how ... just have your brave gators play the game.

Recruiting would've been great when LSU came in and **** down UFs throat. Blessing in disguise to host recruits and not let them see the ass kicking.

You play UGA and Arky. UGA is slaw and Arky is beatable. UF absolutely punked out. Don't even try to twist this. Your program is full of cowards.

So, they punked out to avoid going 7-5 so that they can go 7-4.

Or perhaps, they can go 8-3 instead of 8-4.

That's the end game here. Is that the goal of this master plan?

When the game is rescheduled, you still won't be happy.

Well that is mighty nice of you.

I'm all for your suggestion, and LSU just not show up on October 29th and take the forfeit loss.

Actually, you're wrong.

Not that you care. Pesky facts.

Like that has ever stopped you in the political forum.

Ok what other games have been postponed indefinitely? And don't give me directional state school for the blind.

I'm beyond happy, bro. We are going to Atlanta. What I don't like is cowards getting their way.

To hell with your program.

Well maybe you gators could post some facts? As of now your whole program looks like trash.

What I think looks like trash is people giving such a damn about a game that ultimately does not matter in the face of tragic circumstances that fortunately were not as bad as previously feared, but tell that to people that it didn't spare.

That's what I think.

This game may be played. I hope it is. I believe it will be.

When people attempt to give a damn about what happened and what people believed was going to happen instead of the effect on SEC football standings, I'll consider it progress

FWIW, as a Gator fan, I think you guys can lose to Bama and still play for the SEC title. We're rebuilding our offense from years of stagnation, and I just don't see us beating every SEC team left on our sked. I mean, you saw us play.

Also, I can see where you'd be mad if we did win out and you lost one more SEC game. We'd be pissed if the situation was reversed. I'm hopeful the SEC will work something out so we play LSU on the Nov. 19. I seriously doubt they'd move the UGA game, though.

To me, football is a game played by kids that's fun to watch. The LSU game was the only good home game on our sked this year. Hope it happens.

So 99 and LG I was reading that for the sake of safety the football game had to be cancelled however UF sent the womens volleyball team on the road to USCjr for their game? Or somewhere else still in the storm?

#womensvolleyballlivesmatter ?

Edit: yep just checked. Still scheduled to be played today in Columbia. Seems a bit inconsistent?

UF is trying to gain a competitive advantage on the field by executing off the field shenanigans. They are claiming weather issues when everyone around them played AND canceled rhe game. They are trying to scheme their way into the SECCG and then win it by facing a competitor that has one more SEC game as wear and tear rhan they do. . The SEC has to step in and stop that crap.

If they refuse to play the game or just can't get it to work, it should be marked as a forfeit and treated as a loss. It shouldn't benefit them to not play the game.

The problem is you are changing the topic. We were not talking about the storm's impact, we were talking about the lack of planning done .

If talking storm impact, go talk to people in Haiti, they suffered the most. I do agree people's lives are more important than game, just stating Florida appeared to be trying to avoid a likely loss imo.

Except you guys still hosted recruits. Just change it to division record if a cross game is unable to be played.
