The timing can be understood with a little bit of thought.

But what is going on at Auburn has nothing to do with Pearl. The day our fanbase stops trying to play the But Other Places Are Doing Worse Things card, the better off we'll be as a whole.

You don't have to be a holy roller to see that he's potentially gotten us in deep shiz. He also snitched on another program for cheating but oh look, he cheats too. And it isn't a one time thing.

Slive said Pearl's infractions could have warranted a season-long suspension, but the fact that he owned up to what he did I felt half a season was appropriate.

How would you felt if he had suspended BP for the season?

i think pearl is a hell of a coach. that being said.....he's damn fortunate to still be the hc @ UT. The 8 games is a joke.

not, he should follow his own protocol and what he has set forth in the past with his comments and actions. Let the school handle thier own situations. Did the big east suspend patino? Wonder what he would have done if donovan had done this.

It was a secondary violation and the fact he tried to hide it, well, I have told my boss some things in the past to try and cover myself and I could probably say the same about most of you, and if you say you havent, you are just as dishonest as he was.

Ok, so I am not allowed to comment on what another coach did immorally, but it is ok for the conference commissioner to suspend a coach because he lied(moral issue)

Pearl has been banging the truth drum for so long that when he is revealed as what he truly is, it's funny as hell. Just sucks that his transgressions have pulled the UT name down with him.

Pearl is suspended for breaking set recruiting rules THEN lying about it. Big difference. Pitino's situation involved his personal life. Pearl's situation was business. If you can't see that, well, then you need help.

no, you are incorrect. the only thing he is suspended for is the lying about it. The rule broken does not constitute any suspension.

Not gonna lie, I wouldn't have been able to control myself as well as he did in the Erin Andrews hug-gate. I would have been all over that woman.
