In our case, the school and the coach made the confession.
they aren't investigative. apparently the NCAA communicated with them the facts of the case and Slive made this ruling based on that.[/QUOTE said:I get it. So he's waiting on the NCAA to finish up and then tell the SEC what happened?
I don't necessarily have a problem with it, except how in the world is $cam Newton still playing, then?
I guess this is what you get when the conference offices are located in the State of Alabama.
pearl's stuff has been proven....and he's a coach. alot different than allegations against an athlete, even though eventually those will all probably come out to be true too. pearl knowingly broke the rules, asked people to lie about his breaking the rules, lied to the ncaa about knowingly breaking rules and then confessed to knowingly lyinging about rules he knowingly knew he broke
So the SEC is laying down punishment before the NCAA? Has there been a similar precedent like this set before? Honest question, i'm not up on my punishment history.
The SEC isnt ivestigative. All info surrounding Newton is pure speculation at this point. Bruce openly admitted infractions and lying to cover them up. They arent related at all.
