Pearl hasn't signed anything. They sent the contract back to UT with their proposed modifications. UT's general counsel laughed at it.

First hint of justice comes down! A wonderful day in Big Orange Country! I hope the NCAA suspends him for a year and post season ban so it will force UT to fire Bruce! He is a liar and a cheater and needs to be treated as such! One step closer to me embracing the basketball vols once more!

This is true. I don't want to get into the punishment because it's hard to debate any punishment he/they get because they brought it on themselves.

However, the timing of this was calculated to deflect off another issue and done for the wrong reasons. I'm actually kind of shocked that people are connecting the dots so quickly.

No way Slive steps in and ruins a chance for an SEC team to go undefeated. People can say what they will about Pearl but Slive is the biggest slimeball of all.

this is like the nightmare that will not end. I can not wait till the NCAA releases their findings/punishment and we can finally move on from all this crap.

I guess those who defended Pearl for "a few burgers" with some Juniors and lying to the NCAA are about to jump off a building. Just think, he didn't even lie to the SEC. When the NCAA rules Bruce fans will really be suicidal.

Who came forward? A bunch of boosters from Miss St.? Maybe they were paying but not as much as Auburn? Maybe there is no money involved and they are mad he went to Auburn? No one has done anything but speculate so far. Pearl admitted everything bc he didnt have a choice. SCam Newtons day is coming but its not today unlike Pearl.

Well if that's true, it was a very purposefully misleading interview. I've never known that to be in Bruce's character...oh wait.

So pretty much the moral of the story is to continue to deny everything because the punishment will just be handed down later.

He's suspended the first 8 conference games. That's half of the total conference games. It's only coincidental that he's back (maybe) for the sUcK game.

Let's be honest about this though. Yes, he lied....about a freaking picture taken at his house where a couple of jr recruits and a sr recruit attended. That rule in itself is dumb as hell. There are far more slimier coaches across the country in multiple sports. It's just that Bruce got caught. Gene Chizik, you're on notice. $180,000 is far worse than a stupid picture. Think SMU X 10. (ok, I'm better now)

I wonder if they will be laughing when Bruce Pearl is gone and Tennessee is a .500 team again. :blink:

Not saying that is guaranteed but who knows what would happen to the program under a different coach. It only takes one bad hire for the basketball program to come crashing down.

CBP has done so much for us, making it fun to be a basketball fan again, echoing Coach Mears, one of my favorite people of all time. That said, I am so disappointed in him and what has happened. I'm afraid that Coach Pearl will be gone before all this is over. So sad.

If Pearl had signed it, then we wouldn't be waiting on UT to do anything. It would be finalized.
