Stoops is too laid back, and needs too much power over a program. He's gotta have a lot of control. Tom Allen is a kids based coach. The players RALLY around him. He has strong south florida roots, and is a great recruter. He is an energetic, fire breathing, bounce house of fun.

Huepel is NOT going to Auburn.

There is nothing that Auburn has that TN doesn’t, TN honestly has a lot better stuff too. But the big thing is TN has Danny White who took a real chance and 100% believed in Huepel when everyone was questioning his hire. There is no way Huepel is going to leave Danny White and go to Auburn where there is so much dysfunction between the AD and the Boosters

This would be Stoops best chance to get out of Lexington.

He’s maxed out his potential at Kentucky.

Staying there will only hurt his reputation as a HC.

Nah. He can win 7-9 games every year, run his program exactly how he sees fit and never have to worry about job security or his reputation. And he makes $6.75M to boot. Why leave that for Auburn where the boosters run the show and the fans think they should beat Alabama and Georgia every year?

Brother, he’s 29-37 as a head coach and is regressing. Auburn will burn if they try to hire him.

Its gonna be funny when Cohen just brings over Mike Leach
That wouldn’t work out IMO. He’s a lazy recruiter. He’s a fun meme coach for schools that don’t expect championships, but Auburn isn’t that. There’s a reason Miss State is the best job he’s been able to get after all these years.

He hasn't been there very long. He was big ten coach of the year. It's really tough to recruit indiana. lol. Seems like a perfect fit to me.

It’s not like the East is going to be any easier.

Tennessee is good again, Georgia is Georgia, and Florida is one good hire away from being relevant.

He’ll likely be competing for 3rd place every year in the East.

If he wants to win Championships then staying at Kentucky makes zero sense.

Bryan was a bad fit from day one - just like Brian at LSU.

Gus was a better coach but not good enough for entitled Auburn.

He went 2-10 and is currently 3-5. He has one non COVID winning season. Hell some people at Indiana are ready to move on from him. he would not handle the pressure of Auburn and no way he can recruit

Auburn would have to give coach hype a billion dollars to leave ut rn lol. It would be for one reason only. He has this joint rolling.

That's pretty amazing. If there is an object lesson though... coaches need to be hesitant when walking into burning (athletic dept) buildings.

There was little stable or good about the program he chose to take over.

The same could be said about UT when Heupel stepped in but he knew what he had in White and the changes that had been made above White. Always a risk but he should have waited for a better gig. His resume was pretty decent.
Auburn is a pretty good gig. In the last decade or so they've been to 2 national championships, winning 1, 2 SEC titles, a Heisman winner. Much better than the 2010s Vols.

Sure, but he could have been a candidate for Florida State and Oklahoma but showed no interest in those jobs if he wanted a title.

This isn’t 1997. He makes $6.75M now. He’s the second greatest coach in UK history after Bear Bryant. And he doesn’t need to be better than Georgia, Tennessee or Florida for UK fans to be happy. As long he’s 7-9 wins a year they’ll be good with him.

. INDIANA. don't blame me when you see him winning seasons again. I think someone's getting lucky with that guy. He's just sitting there.

And yet, no one is mentioning for other P5 jobs.

He’s fine at Indiana. He’s nothing special though. He ain’t it.
