We have a trail of destruction following losing seasons. We cant even cheat right.

So if it's really Gruden or Davis, you have to wonder if Tampa Bay is UT's farm team. Especially if we get Gruden with R.Morris.

I think if we can't get Gruden, butch Davis would be the next best choice.

Gruden would be by far our best candidate. But getting him here is another story. Davis is next. IMO

I've heard that Al Golden wants out of Miami. He is a terrific coach and I would hate to see him leave, but if you can't get Gruden I hope you guys get him.

I hope Miami keeps him. He is a loser and if he is hired it will be just like Dooley all over again

I think he would be a very solid hire. He has proven he can turn a program around quickly. Recruits well and can develop talent. He could start today. Alot of things to like about him if he is cleared from all the NCAA stuff at UNC.

I'm not a pro-Butch Davis guy. He makes me incredibly nervous because he has always left teams worse than he found them. It might not be immediately after he leaves, but he is very unscrupulous with his methods. I know everyone breaks the rules in college football, but it seems like Davis's methods are beyond rule breaking and schools have suffered for it. He will be under heavy scrutiny wherever he goes and it's especially nerve racking because UT is already on probation from an unscrupulous coach.

I know Davis can coach, I know he can recruit, but his hire would be make very nervous. He would get results though.

Miami won the freakin NC the year he left for the Browns? And with Larry Coker coaching. Are you mentally challenged??

Yes. And despite the circumstances at UNC, the program is far from shambles. He actually was the one who cleaned up and restored Miami to prominence.

He basically lost to Dooley in the bowl game with a far, far, far superior team. Virtually every person on their defense was drafted and they had a NFL QB, but they were playing a bad Tennessee team in the Music City and got outplayed. He didn't do anything at UNC and they had more talent than everybody they played. It's cool being a good recruiter and all, but at some point you have to coach the players and he wasn't good at that at UNC.
