The shat hit the fan before it could bear fruit. You can blame him for that or you can wait for the official word on Davis' involvement.

The arguement you are making isn't the same I'm making. Compared to coaches who aren't available he wouldn't be the best. Compared to who is available he is the best option.

No one is trying to make it out that Butch is the next Saban, but compared to the other options he is the best out there available.

Didn't say that at all. You just made it seem like he had Florida and Alabama type talent on D, but he never won big in the ACC. Something doesn't add up. Fedora and Strong are the best two hires we can make for the long-term of this program. Both would do great things here.

I think Fedora and Davis are close. Fedora is a bit more of a gamble, but could turn out to be a home run. Davis would be solid from day 1 IMO. Not sure Fedora would bail on UNC after 1 year and Davis could start right away. Come on Hart, hire a coach and let's get this thing going!

oh I dont know, Made UNC a RELEVANT FOOTBALL team, FOOTBALL team, let THAT sink in. He had the most players taken in the NFL draft his final season, AND you cant say he couldn't win with great players. He recruited GREAT players, problem was alot of them were suspended most of the season, its no wonder they didnt win. You think UT would have won as many (or few if you look at it like that) as we did if Bray, Hunter, and CP were suspended?

Name the coach besides Gruden that can reach into the NFL and college ranks to put a staff together.

Name the coach besides Gruden who can show recruits a superbowl ring ( Butch has two).

Name the coach who has put more players in the NFL than Butch.


When I say name the coach I mean one of the coaches who has been mentioned for the UT job.
