In some way, I do feel this was coaching, but not like last game. We just looked undisciplined last week. This week, the team got up and went into cruise control. Unfortunately, USA didn't get the memo, and kept going. I don't think we should be calling for heads, but hopefully it serves as a wake up call for the coaches and players.

Jesus Christ the man is 4 games into his Tennessee coaching career and half of y'all are calling for his head. Give the damn man some time.

Time is one thing to bring the program to an elite level. But there is no excuses for some of the in game decisions that have been made. There are junior high coaches that would have made better decisions.

By the way, did anyone notice on Palardy's fake run that the ref didn't throw the flag for illegal procedure until after Palardy crossed the line of scrimmage? That seems very late for an illegal procedure.

While I sure there were some poor calls, it looked to me like most of the time it was more of a problem with player execution than with play calling.

To bad we didn't have thus attitude during fulmars first losing season and we wouldn't be in thus mess.
AMEN BROTHER!!! 5 miserable years bc Phil wasn't good enough for us!!!! I'd give anything for him right now! Never thought we would get to the day where we were embarassing but here we are..

Unfortunately, after seeing our games so far, I don't see us winning another game this year except maybe Kentucky. We won't be able to handle anybody that's left on the schedule. I see a string of embarrassments during October and some close (or possibly decisive) beatings the rest of the way.

I hope that Coach Jones surprises me, but I just don't see it. We haven't gotten better in any aspect of the game since the opener as far as I can tell. If there has been any, it's marginal at best. Perhaps you could argue that at least we're coming up with some turnovers, but I chalk that up more to the other teams making mistakes and giving us some "gifts" than to us making big plays.

I am praying for better days ahead. I really like Coach Jones, but we haven't seen any real results yet. A 7 point win, at home, against a Sun Belt Conference team that has only had a football team for a few years is bad. There is no spinning this any other way.

Tennessee has the best fans in the country because there is no way that any other fan base in college football would remain as dedicated as we do in the face of these kinds of results.

Nope overall at skill positions they have better players. D line, better. We got on TB and maybe one DB

You do understand that USA went 2-11 last year, with wins over Nicholls State and Florida Atlantic? Funny, I do not ever remember seeing them in the top 25 recruiting classes.

They had pro scouts there to see their players as talked about in TV so yeah, I say they have talent

Against Florida, 3rd and 33 at midfield not doing anything in the passing game yet Petermans try's to pass and gets it intercepted. Run it and PUNT. Very simple call.

Against Florida 3rd and 7 at the 27 needing a field goal to tie with 5 min in the half tries to throw again. Again intercepted. Very simple call with our current situation, run it and try a field goal.

They might not have won the game but it would have been real interesting at the end if he would have realized what this team is capable and not capable of doing.

You are kidding yourself if you think that USA had half the talent that the Vols did. And can we now agree that our defensive problems do not stem from a "lack of speed"???? I have seen high school offenses with more speed than USA's offense.

Can we finally agree that last year's defensive problems weren't all on Sunseri? We simply have no talent on that side of the ball.

When you've been recruiting 2-3-4* talent the past 3-4 years, you're gonna get 2-3-4* results. Only 3 players from Kiffens class are left....I just can't get over the shock factor by some people....this is only going to get worse, its going to be some tough times the next 3-4 years

Johnny Manziel 3*.

Give me a frickin' break - UT has more stars on the left side of its offensive line than USA has on its entire team.

i would say we were better at almost every position on offense, except QB. there coaches were a lot better at finding the week players on our D.

Totally disagree, maybe even talent at line but their WR and TE were better. Ours barely run the correct route or finish it much less get off coverage
