Butch Jones needs to own this!!!!!!!!!!

Jesus Christ the man is 4 games into his Tennessee coaching career and half of y'all are calling for his head. Give the damn man some time.

No kidding. I am about to be done with this team just so I don't have to be associated with this absolutely moronic fan base

Fortunately, I went to my son's soccer game after we got up 24-7. I don't think I had enough Jack in the house to get me through the rest of this game. But, I watched Butch's press conference. I see a guy who cares about his players and is doing his best to teach some young, inexperienced kids how to play football (with the exception of the O-line which continues to confound me). This year is going to be tough, but I still think we're moving in the right direction and Butch is the guy to get us there. Patience.

I agree. This was clearly on the coaches. For the first time, I actually wouldn't be surprised to see 8 loses. Our team was out-coached, luckily we had the talent to make up for the coaching.

Yes 4 wins would be about right with the talent on the O side. Worley is not capable of playing at the SEC level....he is about to get his lunch eaten. Blaming the coaches for his lack of skills is not appropraite.

It is what it is....we need a player at QB and don't have one just yet. I would like to see one of the redshirts burned just to get a QB ready for next year.

The coach worship of our fan base is embarrassing. Stop making excuses for the absolute crap Butch and staff are putting on the field. This staff has been awful thus far this season.

We have the dumbest fans in college football. CBJ inherited crap and is trying to make something out of it. Today we got up 31-7 and shOuld have gone up 38-7 , and would have with a better QB, and pretty much started looking ahead. USA is not a horrible team and once we relaxed, they took advantage if it. But, biggest thing is our talent right now is probably 10 th or 11th best in the SEC. CBJ has a top 5 recruiting class and it will take at least 3 of these to get back to being competitive again. Patience!

Our Next Win I am sad to say will probably be in 8 weeks from now and that is when we play Kentucky. We might win that game if we're lucky cause at the rate our Vols are playing they won't beat Vanderbilt much less any of the tougher teams. I thought after week one and week two we might have a chance to beat guys like Missouri, Auburn, Vanderbilt and finish with a half way decent season (7-5).

Don't see that happening, this team had a huge MELTDOWN today.

Patience? When has this so called fan base of ours ever had any of that?

I'm still not convinced that Butch can get this program back to the top, but half the football geniuses on here would have him fired before the end of the season.

I just hope that this staff can hold this recruiting class together, because this program is in serious need of an infusion of talent.

I didn't want to believe it in prior years, but there's no denying it. We absolutely have the dumbest fan base in college football. I heard an idiot on the Football Finals show wanting to can CBJ and "back up the Brinks truck" to David Cutcliff. Jesus. I can't tell if people are joking around at times due to the amount of stupidity.

Especially in terms of more talented coaches (OC and DC both not cutting it so far).

I think that the jury is still out on both of them. I will say that Bajakian doesn't have the skill players to work with that Chaney did last year and he is saddled with a QB that wouldn't be starting on any other SEC team. Hell I'm not sure Worley would be starting on to many D1 teams period.

As for Jancek, he's not a top notch DC by any stretch of the imagination, but it could be worse. Sal could still be here.

I like you volgr.

The coach worship on here is utterly pathetic really. People on here act like anyone who thinks the coaches should be held accountable for anything is some raving lunatic.

You can't name me another major program whose fans would be happy with their coaches after a display like we put on today against S. Alabama.

Let's stop the nonsense and endless excuses about Worley. This staff brought in 2 highly touted QB's who are supposed to perfectly fit his system. Show us what they can (Manziel won the Heisman as freshman for a new coach, right)? Also, didn't everyone keep saying Dobbs is so smart that he can learn the playbook and system in no time - I remember reading about how intelligent he is - so let's see what he has learned so far.

I strongly disagree! The only coach of ours that did a piss poor job today was the offense coordinator! We should have run the football twice as much in the second half because Worley couldn't hit a 3 yard pass and we just kept on throwing it when the run game was averaging 7 yards a carry!
If we had their quarterback playing for us, we would have won the game by 60 points

Again, I wonder if Bama fans wanted to fire Saban after he LOST to Lousiana Monroe his first season at Bama? It's called rebuilding for a reason bunch of morons!!
