Nice to be positive, but that "path" could be, and most likely is, pretty long with lots of speed bumps along the way.

Great article! I love the attitude Coach Butch is bringing and the way he embraces our traditions and former players. Just the fact that he is coming in expecting to win and not bringing any excuses gets my support all the way. I know that it all comes down to his coaching ability and winning games but I think he has done everything right so far! He has my full support until he proves me wrong.

Nope, I do get it. Always have. Carried my UT stuff all over the world, Korea, Honduras, Germany, Iraq, Kuwait...Very proud of the Big Orange traditions. Thrilled we have a coach that recognizes the traditions and not one that says he needs to make a lot of noise to get UT out there (Kiffin) or one that draws comparisons to battles past (Dooley). Glad we have a coach that is using the UT legacy as a recruiting tool. This program will sell itself to recruits. They are down, but they will Rise To The Top again. There is another CBJ "banner" for you.

If you are giving out the banners, then I will take one.

I really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really want Butch to be successful here. Not just because I want to win again, but because I really like him. It would be nice to see him represent the Big Orange for years to come.

It feels good to be excited and to hear our head coach and coordinators all into pumping up fans as opposed to the last three years...we never heard ra ra stuff from Wilcox or Chaney...probably due to the gloom and doom approach under DD...Dooley won his introductory press conference and had my support from the beginning. I never liked the year zero and bamboo talk...junior days weren't events...legendary players like Wes Brown were kicked out of the practice facility...issues that loyal fans were soft selled over...so skeptical not buying in fans your hesitation is understandable and your place is saved when/if the train gets rolling. A lot of this Rise to the Top hype is corny but I like it..so I'm jumping on early..try not to hate me

I'm responding to all the responses in one post that's why it's long. Second I don't think you understand my pt. if you did your last statement wouldn't have been made because u'd know that's not my gripe.

I want to believe, but I won't until we win a game that matters. We haven't done that in more than three years.

Dooley may have known and understood our traditions but he sure as heck did not embrace them even close to the way Butch has. If you can't see and appreciate that you your orange blood must not run very deep!
