And with coaching like this...he'll be 4-8 again next year. He needs to reach down and see if he's got a pair. And if he does, then he needs to let Bajakian and Janzek go...then use that big budget Hart gave him, to hire REAL COACHES with REAL RESUMES (Baylor's OC and Stanford's DC). Offer them between 800k-1mill, and they'll come.

Bamer broke out the checkbook and swung for the fences. We haven't. We have tried to bunt the ball. That's why they are where they are...as long as they are. And we are where we are, as long as we have. They have told the media, the big salary to lure/keep Saban's has been the best investment in their history.

Instead we get Hamilton...the program disease that keeps on giving, and the Tales of the Crypt guy (Hart), who isn't much better

TN will not pay that kind of money for assistant coaches. They know UT fans will keep throwing $$$$ at them no matter the product on the field.

Eh... he's a mudder. Some days he will wallow and today was one of those days.

He is. And it was. Wish everyone played all-out like Pig though.

Perhaps someone can remind me of the rules regarding blocking at the line of scrimmage. When I played HS ball thirty-something years ago, I remember no rules against blocking-in-the-back on the line of scrimmage. General interpretation was that if a player was foolish enough to have his back to someone on the line of scrimmage it was just tough luck. Of course, I was a lineman so maybe that's different. Forget how much latitude there was in either direction, and whether it extended beyond the tackles or thereabout. But Pig was at about the 12-1/2, maybe the 12 and pretty close in on the edge. Line of scrimmage was the 13. I'm also not sure how much contact he really made either, if any, ... looked more like the guy was moving toward Dobbs and just went down.

Anyway, just wondering if anyone knows the specifics in that regard, or whether I am just way off. A lot of rules have changed over the years, so it could just be that different now.

They lost all their dbs, still made plays because better coached! Don't want to hear nickel package excuse. "Wanted to be aggressive" is why called fake field goal? That made Dooley look smart. Maybe we should trot Kiffen out there, so we can attempt a 73 yard field goal. :loco: How about he just say he was out coached even though he has "best coaching staff in America" :realmad:

Replace DL coach too! ( I don't even know who that is, just that our DL is poorly coached)

Can't hang this game on Pig when its literally THE WORST game I have ever seen by a UT QB in 36 years. That being said...2 games this year Pig made a play that cost us the game. Sadly he is probably the most explosive player we have. The fumble across the goal line cost us the game though...and the completely unnecessary block in the back cost us this game. Both plays took 7 points off the board in games decided by less..can't argue with that. Freaking terrible.

Peterman was the worst and it was just a half game to lose it. And pig is one of the Doolanders 2 star athletes

Dobbs looked like Brent Schaffer 2.0.

Jones better pray the recruits can get the program well next year otherwise this will get very ugly fast.

UT and Florida are 4-7. Vandy owns wins over UT, UF, and UGA. Surely the end is near...:yikes:

Butch is nothing but an excuse making bullish-tter.

His act is wearing mighty thin mighty fast.

He will atleast get us top notch talent if nothing else. But tbh there is no difference in this team and last years team except the fact that so Carolina laid an egg

What is the point of playing the seniors in a completely meaningless game for 14th place in the SEC? We should use it as a scrimmage to get much needed experience for the returning players.

The seniors already turned their back son the Orange by picking the grey jerseys for their final home game. Make them a gift of those jerseys so they can forever remember all of the big wins they had wearing them and get the young guys ready for next year.

There is absolutely nothing to be gained by playing the seniors now.

What did he say that was wrong?
And secondly, you want him to throw himself and his staff under the bus with one of the best recruiting classes in the country? "yeah, we didn't coach well. It has been and will continue to be a problem".
That would be brilliant. Right up VN's alley. I never understand why some people have to hear a personal apology after losses. Write him a letter. You don't stand up there right now and tell recruits that you suck.

He doesn't have to say anything to turn recruits away. I promise they will start leaving this class on their own because of what they've seen on the field.

It is clear we have very little talent and depth on this team. Anyone blaming the coaching staff knows very little about football.

Fake field goal- idiotic
Vanilla offense- embarrassing
Defense- played exceptionally well

2 weeks of prep and we look like garbage. Dobbs is a true freshman and it really showed today.

I'm a fan of Worley and dobbs will be good just give the boy some time. I'm starting to think the gray jerseys are cursed though. Look at the Georgia game.

I have to agree with you! Need to use this game as an offensive scrimmage and work on the whole play book.

Swafford played well IMO. Not a loss from my point of view

Say what? I watched on t.v. & listened to Buckeye Bob & Tim Priest, who said over & over: "Where's the nickel back?" That area was vacated for vandie players all night. :loco:

Good grief get over your self. Every coach makes those same freaking comments after a loss. You have to remeber this Vandy team did beat UGA and FLA, something we didnt do.

Bunch of band wagon .............. (fill in the blank).
