Probably didn't wanna be like the LSU OL commit and have LSU trying to persuade you not to visit.

Like....if you're that insecure, then you don't really have a kids best interest at heart.

My view is: If a kid wants to visit somewhere, let them. Yeah, you wanna win, but you also SHOULD want what's best for the kid. If they're not a good fit, or not happy at your school, it's only gonna lead to bad things anyways.

Glad he's here. And hope the 6-8 Mammajamma from LSU whose name I cannot spell comes too.

Dormady was a 4* as was Guarantano. Guarantano was ranked as the # 1 dual threat QB his senior year and # 7 overall. JT Shrout is 26th ranked Pro Style.

This time last year and before the coaching change most complained about the 3* and now are acting like this 3* is the next coming of Peyton Manning.

Probably. Orgeron is definitely the type of coach with a lot of insecurities.

The fact that both the coaching staff and the local media tried to keep this quiet leads me to believe there's something there.

Finally got around to watch his film. Kid can sling it and shows good mobility in the pocket. The INT’s are concerning but you can’t teach that arm talent.

He throws his receivers open. He sees what's about to happen doesn't wait till a receiver is open.
He can see what's going to happen...

Can see where that would make so many coaches say he is a NFL building block QB.

To me also explains a lot of his INT #'s good teams would show him something that he thinks it is then roll coverage..... Easy fix with coaching and experience.... can coach that up.

Anticipating what's going to happen and delivering a accurate ball with zip are natural abilities

I believe we've already clarified that he's the first coming of JT Shrout, who just happens to possess the best abilities of Peyton Manning, Dan Marino, Brett Favre, Joe Montana, Aaron Rodgers, Johnny Unitas, and Slingin' Sammy Baugh rolled into one.

Just a question, do you put more stock into the evaluation of a player by the coaching staff or the people who work for Rivals and 24/7? If the latter, why?

My point is that no one in their right mind would label Dormady or Guarantano 4* recruits after a 1-year re-ranking.

I'm not saying Shrout is Peyton Manning at all. However, if Dormady decides to transfer, we absolutely HAVE to sign a QB in this class. And even if he doesn't, Shrout has upside.

And sometimes, that's all you can ask for, especially when we're behind the 8-ball when it comes to the coaching carousel.
