Nobody but a QB such as Dobbs could be successful in Lyle's perfect offensive scheme led by the best coaching staff in America. Worley couldn't, Dormady couldn't, JG couldn't. So any comparisons to what past QB's did or did not do, especially in light of injuries and poor O-line play, are ridiculous.
Shrout doesn't have to deal with that. Nobody on here has the first clue what JT will do or not do based on what he did in his HS's offense.

Hope youre right. He certainly looks the part and has the tools. That whole 25 interceptions thing is hard for me to get past though. I did see a HS QB throw like 6 int in a playoff game a couple years ago though and they werent necessarily his fault. Other team was determined to stop their high octane passing game and his coach still kept chucking it deep. Maybe Shrout had a HC that had him forcing it downfield?
I wasnt really presenting an opinion, though. Just a timeline. So I was just wondering what there was to show dissent against.
Whatever you say
Last thing on this (unless you keep it going), when you use the words could have after he lost his starting job and toughed it out, youre not doing dates anymore. He backed up JG AFTER he lost his starting job. Yes, just one game but he legged out a carry for 13 yards and looked uncomfortable setting up to pass. The games, his stats and when he shut it down...thats what fits on his TIMELINE. What he COULD have done WHEN and how much he could tough out for how long? Thats OPINION and CONJECTURE. Youre welcome for being smarter than when you first started this with me. :hi:
Maybe the comment was more about his feeling about JG than Shrout. I don't think JG is the answer at QB either.
Dormady chose to have the surgery when he did, which was after he lost his starting job. That is a fact. The injury happened before the season. That is another fact. He had the option to have surgery before the season, when he did have it (which was after being pulled for JG), or after the season ended. Those are also facts.
Saying that him postponing surgery until the end of the season would mean he needed to tough it out is subjective and an opinion. You are right about that. Im sorry if my choice of words offended you. Ill try to use words and phrases that portray the utmost neutrality in the future. I just didnt expect someone who leans so heavily all caps and emojis to make arguments to be so easily upset by the phrases tough it out and lost his starting job. I apologize.
By all means, dont let me me get in the way of your crusade against perceived conjecture or your cute stylistic devices.See? Youre GETTING IT! Leans so heavily on caps and emojis is you attempting to reduce me.These are devices of my style. I like them as a means to emphasize the POINTS I make...Im going to keep doing it. If you want a break from me, reissue that joke about the Chattanooga bus crash. Ill give you the wide berth you seem to crave and not stray from it ever again.
