Yesterday was a great win for UT basketball and these players and the coach in particular. It was an opportunity for CBP to do what he does best, motivate. He has been at his best with undermanned teams. There aren't many coaches who could have pulled off what he did yesterday. It is a long season and there are going to be a good many ups and downs along the way. I wouldn't be surprised to see this assemblage of guys play a better fundamental team game than we would have seen without the events of last week. I believe Chism will spend more time down low because he has to and I believe some other guys will step up as well.

That being said, I don't understand why it makes you a hater to say there are areas where improvement is needed. I have no personal animosity towards CBP, and I kept my season tickets and attended nearly every game during the Wade Houston era, so my fanhood is secure.

Who gives a dam. I think some of you forget this site is for entertainment purposes only. We're not curing cancer here folks. Speaking for HatVol kind of makes you creepy. BTW great win for the Vols last night.

He may put you on his ignore list and then respond to everything you write. You also may pick up a few hangers on who will show up in all your threads to say you have no credibility. That will be worth it though, you can get an awesome signature like me.

Hmmm. I would be interested in reading the "lets not value possessions" posts.

We scored 70 plus but people are trying to act like TN somehow became Bo Ryan grind it out crap ball? No way...

We were physically out classed and so we continued to press the pace when we had an advantage and the rest of the time try some various flex stuff until the shot clock was low and then go into a set play. That is the same offense they have had the whole time Pearl has been here.

You may be right. But then again, maybe you haven't been around here long enough to make the call. It gets to be like a family of sorts here after a while, albeit dysfunctional at times. As I said, I don't usually make a point of sticking up for folks here of my own choice, but if I think it's appropriate, I'll do it. Thanks anyway for trying to say something cool. Just didn't quite work.

Way to go Vols & CBP...not to mention coaches who scouted Kansas & the great Vols fans! Great to see the Bruce Pearl backers on here. Where are ya, hatvol?

I also love the somewhat short minded assertion that one victory, impressive as it was, validates CBP's coaching process. But heck, lets enjoy the win for now.

Great win last night, where has this play at point been all year? Great to see so many young players step up and contribute. I have been critical of Pearl at times and still believe the criticism is valid. If anything the play we saw last night just proves the point of those detractors that so many of you are calling out today. If we demand effort of our players and play solid at the point, get maximum effort of defense we would be a much better team.

Let's also face facts and admit that Kansas played horribly last night (actually they have been for a couple of games before this one). In any case it was a great win for this team, they earned it. Anyone else think the two/three zone they played actually helped us in the second?
