Way to go Vols & CBP...not to mention coaches who scouted Kansas & the great Vols fans! Great to see the Bruce Pearl backers on here. Where are ya, hatvol?
hey genius, maybe you didn't see hatvols' thread Section 103 Postgame Report. hatvol attends the games and comments after everyone. maybe you and the rest of the dbags who create these stupid threads should look before speaking
I love how our fans have spent the last 15 hours calling out someone who isn't hiding...
I'll answer that. Because of months of fustration. This so called inner circle of tennessee basketball authority experts and high level governing body on what Coach Pearl can and can't do has irritated the he?? out of some people on this site. When someone disagrees with the powers that be, you will be disciplined or verbally flogged. Better yet, your grammer and composition skills will be scrutinized. One point this unholy alliance always forgets is that Tennessee basketball is on the map because of Pearl and only Pearl. So eat s...! Pearl will be here for awhile.
The ultimate problem with message boards is that we never just celebrate wins anymore. Give credit for the effort and a great win, and hope this carries over to tourney play.
It would be interesting to pull up some of these gloaters comments after the USC game.
I completely disagree. I think there is every reason to celebrate a big win and this one certainly fits in that category, especially under the circumstances. It demonstrates you have athletes who can compete with the best teams in the country and validates the program.
But what's wrong with people pointing out that its a regular season game in January, and not a Sweet 16 win in the tournament? I mean, if you are a fan of an NBA team that takes one from the conference leader, in January, you high five and move on to the next one because you know its the playoffs that count.
I guess I don't see the two (celebrating but keeping your feet on the ground) as incongruous. In fact, I think they complement each other because the main thing to take away from a big win like this one is the confidence that you can do it in March, when it really matters.
(And in fact re-reading your post Lex I think we are saying the same thing).
