What UT coach was winning the SEC tourney again? It's not easy with a fair shake, which we will never get. Officiating always kills us in the tourney. They get to hack and hip check, while Chizz gets calls for breathing heavy. I don't remember our last final even, b4 CBP's.
Pearl can at least get a 20 point lead vs a #1 seed with the #1 pick and some other pros. That was his system that almost won that game, just as it's his system that OWNS Fla, even during their NC years. All those turnovers aren't players getting lucky.
You're on here praising no D McBee for the one shot he hit and blaming Pearl for McBee's unawareness of the shot clock at the same time. How you criticize anyone on a successful key play in perhaps UT's biggest win ever is beyond me, but it is also wrong. Get out troll.

I assume you're talking to me. I think my point was made. When you are reaching saying that we will never win the SEC Tourney because of officials, then I think the point has been made clearly. I love that quote by the way "At least Pearl can get a 20-point lead!" When you look back at tourney results, there's not an asterick that says, "But hey, UT had a 20-point lead at halftime and lost to a bunch of pro's, even though Pearl did a terrible job that 2nd half!!!"

Hey, McBee did an absolutely awesome shot that was clutch. I went freakin' crazy when it went in. Doesn't mean he should be touching the ball with five seconds left in the shot clock.

I think you were saying, as you do, that there are no bigots anymore and that racism is dead. I was saying, being white and a Tennessean myself, I have been in countless situations where bigots have revealed themselves to me for no reason at all. From fast food lines to football games to clerks at the store, I've heard some scary stuff. That it happened in Tn was just because I lived there. Although you don't hear that stuff in NYC at all, except maybe the 'reverse' stuff, I'm sure in rural Pennsylvania or NY or NJ, you would run into the same stuff...
And I just called you a troll, definitely not funny.

There's a quasi-homeless crazy black guy in my hood who likes to stand on the corner and yell slurs at white people. Yesterday I was walking by him and he yelled at me "You're not black at all, you white f****t!" Now that was funny.

2) I don't understand your personal attacks. You said "argue that, trolls!" I'm not a troll, but I felt the need to say, "Hey, Pearl has weaknesses...to me, he's not a great coach." Instead of arguing the facts and having a nice debate, you decided that we will never win a SEC Title because of refs and that I was a troll. How is that being a chump?

Well, yes. Beating Memphis is nice; being ranked #1 for a day and a half was nice; winning yesterday was REALLY nice. But ultimately those things don't matter. What matters is winning the SEC regular season championship, winning the SEC tournament, and especially winning games in the NCAAs. That's all that counts.

I'm fine with Pearl's showboating and want him to be successful, but find it disturbing that he relies exclusively on a style of basketball that doesn't really work in March. You cannot win four or five or six games in a row in the tournament relying on the transition game and shooting the 3. Maybe you think that makes me a hater or a troll or something, but I want to win in March, and thus far Pearl has underachieved then. The energy around the program is at all-time high, thanks to Pearl, but the actual on-the-court results in March aren't really that much different from what got Don DeVoe run out of town. I can't understand why so many people think that that's not a legitimate point of criticism.

Gotta get the talent before you get the final 4's. That has started with scotty and will improve a lot next year. Just like in CFB, recruiting is huge. As our classes improve (as they have been), we will get past the 16 round. Could be this year even. How will that feel to you haters? Will you be cheering and high-fiving, or trying to think how we should have done better with a different coach? Why not enjoy this great run and face the fact that CBP is coach for as long as he wants to be, no matter how powerful a coach you may be in your mind?
To those of you who say the other wins and Sweet 16's don't matter, that means that only one team has a successful year in your eyes. First of all, those 'other wins' are why we get in the tourney every year. You guys love to take that for granted, but I don't. Ask Lofton if he feels like he was on a successful team at UT. Secondly, you'll never be happy.

Pearl's in Year 5 in a sport in which one or two incoming freshman can make a huge difference. It shouldn't take years to rebuild, like it does in football. What's taking so long?

Despite your inability to view the world in anything other than stark black and white, hater and fanboy terms, I'm no hater. I was going insane yesterday afternoon. I just think Pearl has some holes that he needs to fix, is all. Your BS about how you can't criticize the coach or you're a hater, you're not a real fan, you're miserable, blah blah blah is the exact same crap we heard from all the Fulmer sycophants for the last half decade.

Here's a serious question for you: how many years does Pearl have to advance past the Sweet 16 before you think it's a problem? At what point does he have to stand on his own and not just be better than Buzz Peterson and Wade Houston? Ever?

Just a note on language. The use of the word hater is absurd the way a couple of people here use it. My wife can tell you my weaknesses and would like for me to improve on them but she doesn't hate me.
