When did UT mens basketball become a top25 team year in and out? ThAaanks and since when did winning championships in bball at UT become the measuring stick for success. I must have fallen asleep for a couple years and we got top 3 classes and a couple rings, Darn, sad I missed it but I'm glad were now an elite program.

This is silly. You just justified our early outs with comaptisons to our own sorry history. That's settling.

BTW, you can get to Chatt from Nashville without going over Monteagle.

I'm a fan of Pearl, but people calling out critics of Pearl, or "Haters", like this after a big W annoys me almost as much as bashing him and the "Pearlophites" after a loss.

There is probably some truth to that. I am not a personal injury attorney, but I did an employment law case for an EMT before. Ever since I mentioned that in the Negedu thread, one genius here has called me an ambulance chaser. I am grateful to be able to practice without having to stoop real low, to places like having to defend drunk drivers all the time and plead them to reckless driving.

You know what I find interesting and very agenda exposing? 24 hours after the biggest win in school history there is coach bashing going on.

The team is 12-2 and ranked 10th in the country and just beat the #1 ranked team in the land. If that doesn't make you happy (for at least 24 hours) NOTHING will.

And don't give me the "Oh, I AM happy but......" excuses. 12-2 and ranked 10th in the country....Out of ~330 other schools, Tennessee is ranked 10th and just beat Kansas. If you're on here complaining about Pearl today you will never be satisified.

there were far more people who chose to take shots at other posters rather than enjoy the win. This thread is a combo of about 10 doing just that. There was very little (if any) bashing of CBP last night.

You know, it is possible for people to be happy about that win but not happy with Pearl's postseason record with the teams we've had. Not defending them, just saying

There are some of you who take no enjoyment of a win, you'll put 1 sentence about it in your posts to cover yourself and then it's always followed by....."BUT....."

So this year if you get in the tourney and lose in the 1st/2nd round to a 6 or 8 seed, its OK to say "We might have lost...but we were 12-2 and beat Kansas earlier in the season. Quit whining."

???

Because that's whats been happening to your program the last several years under Pearl, which is what brings this argument up over and over and over again in multiple threads. Being happy after 14 games isn't the pinnacle of your season. If it is, then something is fundamentally wrong.

So you're not allowed to be happy today???? For crying out loud. It's called being a fan. I'm not going to look into the crystal ball to see what will happen come tournament time, I'm going to enjoy this win today and where this team is at today. Like I said, if people are already on here complaining about this coach today, they will ALWAYS be on here complaining.
