actually he coaches better with thugs and uncoachable "cancers" removed......not to say all 4 players are like that, but some of them definitely are....

I wouldn't care if our coach is Gary Coleman, we just beat the number one team IN THE COUNTRY!

you said this magnitude of this win is based on how UT finishes the season! So if the Vols flunder, this win means less? Nope. If the Vols flourish, this win means more? Nope. It's a great win that has no bearing on how the season finishes!

lets not forget these are the same players he brought into the program.

This team has a chip on their shoulder now. Great win.

I'm not trying to change your mind on how you feel about Pearl, you as anyone else has that right, but you said that we that support Pearl did not understand that you could support UT without supporting the coach. I was simply stating that great men do great thing not great institutions. You said "True:” but wanted to know how many points did Pearl score... well it's the same principle as on the football field and if we had the coach you wanted he will never score a point either. I am just saying your argument does not hold water

We've had Elite Eight caliber teams the past two seasons. We should have won an SEC tournament championship at some point in the past four years. That's not unrealistic. I'm not a Pearl hater but i can see where some would complain.

I know this is only one game folks..... but this is the second time in Pearls coaching career that we have faced the number one team and came out a winner. I have been watching Tennessee Basketball for a long time (Earnie and Bernie in Stokley) and I have a hard time remembering two bigger wins..... Maybe Bruce never takes us to the final four, i don't know, but as for me I am excited about what he has done here and hope he does more. Who knows?
