Cam Seldon enters portal

I stopped following pro football about 25 years ago. I got tired of following players, becoming fans of theirs, buying their jerseys etc, then watching them leave and play for rivals. Lather. Rinse. Repeat. College football is starting to sound the same.

Hard to tell.

He was never healthy enough to get into a groove.

Fortunately we’re a recruiting juggernaut and we signed two really good RBs from HS and the portal isn’t even in full swing yet.
Thought we only signed one, ON3 #45 Rb isn't my definition of really good.

Makes me think Sampson may have told the coaches he's coming back next year to finish his degree. Just a thought before our keyboard coaches weighs in with, he has to go because he may get hurt if he stays.
Nobody comes back to finish a degree. If you want to finish a degree, you can get that while playing pro football.

Sampson would be a fool to stay. RB's only have so many carries in them. NFL is life changing money. NIL is kids stuff comparitively.
Unless he’s a first round pick and has a 10 year career as RB1 in the league NFL RB money isn’t much more significant in the short term than what he could get by staying another year. He’s not going to make massive money on his first contract as a late round pick at RB, and he’s not a 3 down NFL back. If he takes out an insurance policy and can get a quarter to a half a million to stay for another year it probably wouldn’t hurt him much financially

I saw where Marshall declined a bid to the Independentlce Bowl due to roster attrition via the portal. I’m all for player compensation but dad gum.

I can also remember your belief that K Khalifa would be a stud in the backfield, there is a little something to those ratings.
He was only a 3 star. And it’s not like he was beaten out by chopped liver either. Dylan Sampson just set the Tennessee single season rushing record.

I also called Bishop a steal.
What about that?

Said Jaylen Wright would play as a freshman.
What about that?

10 year career? In what universe have you been watching pro football. The average career of an NFL running back is less than 3 years.
