It’s theater. And everyone in DC has a role to play minus a few. You see what they want you to see. Most are spineless and don’t care about the principles you listed. That’s why I say it’s a uniparty. The Ds and Rs want control of the citizens. Because if enough of us ever wake up then they are done. Finished. That list is just their theater play to keep us divided. At the top they are globalist not a uni-party. A "uni-party" would not have these differences and there are more.
Democrat vs. Republican
Higher taxes vs. lower taxes
Minimum wages vs. wages set by free market
Less military spending vs. more military spending
Kill babies in womb vs. life
More regulation vs. less regulation
Universal government healthcare vs. private companies healthcare
More immigration vs. less immigration
gun control vs. 2nd amendment
Federal control vs. state control
That doesn't make sense. At the top they are one party. They agree that keeping us divided and bickering amongst ourselves we won’t pay attention to how they are lining their pockets and amassing more power. They are one party, the controlling party.
And the slow death of the Republican Party continues.

Sticky this post please. You assume he would cut a deal and I do not think he would. His role so far has been as GOP bomb-thrower towards Biden and the Dem party, generally. If he continued in that strain, we'd default at the first opportunity and the government would also be shut down.
Jordan loves the cameras as much, if not more, than does Trump. The gimmick of not wearing a jacket, the wild accusations in committees, all designed to get on tv. Now, in the past week he has laid low. It could be that he would abandon the theatrics of his prior service if he were Speaker.
But I don't trust that, and more importantly I think even if it was all an act he has pigeon holed himself quite a bit. And for him to now make deals with this WH? Just do not see it.

The parties themselves have weakened in the last decade (especially the GOP), but there isn't any coalescing around authoritarianism.
I’m sorry that you can’t see the forest for the trees, but the dissension within the parties is coming from within the house. The leadership in both parties is finally being challenged by rouge members and in the house today the numbers are so close the minority who won’t be cowed can reek havoc. Not that I endorse the havoc that is currently being reeked but we’re learning a lot oabout our individual representatives.
What we are seeing is a battle for the future of the GOP. Does the mainstream yield to MAGA? Mainstream not going down without a fight. If they put Jordan in, or some shrieker of similar poor character, you'll know who won.
There's a lot I disagree with you about but I totally agree about the ones causing the chaos.Mainstream is what has got us into the financial situation we are currently in. Mainstream politicians are and have been enriching themselves at our expense. Mainstream is what will be the end of this republc.
Now with all of that said the few idiots causing this chaos in the house are just grandstanding and not working towards scaling back the federal government like true conservative.
