Oh, believe me. I get it. Calling him overrated and saying we are going to wash our hands of him is a little over the top.
He will only be a sophomore this year, yet people are trashing him and saying he never developed. Maybe he doesn't play as physical as he should be with his body. You never know what's going on with these kids.
I just don't get the whole fan mentality of trashing a player who decides that the best opportunity for him is elsewhere. It's not like he is dogging the program or anything. Him staying and attempting to work harder and contribute is what we all want, but if the evidence is there that he isn't a good fit, what can you do?
If it doesn't work out, it doesn't work out. Can't force the kid into wanting to give his all for TN.
Let's tip our hat to the young man for giving what he has given to the program. Wish him best of luck and move on.
Good ole VN , a player leaves and they turn on him and dog the kid. He might be soft or whatever but there is no sense in dogging the kid. When he was out recruiting for Tn and committing to Tn , most of you same people were booming all over yourselves.
I notice its always the coaches that is in the right in these situations. Its not like these kids on the defensive side of the ball are getting coached by the best out there. Butch did hire 2 rejects that got fired at the same time from Ga.
I never brag...and this definitely isn't the time...but I called this...he's a 3-4 DE...not a 4-3 DT or an offensive lineman...I hate Bama, but if he wants a transfer there,Butch should sign off...if that's not possible I think he goes JUCO and ends up there anyway.
another Memphis hs football product going home. The days of Cedrick Wilson and Andre Lott are as gone as they really are
This kid was riding the dam greyhound to be a part of that first class. Sometimes it ain't the kid. Sometimes the coaches screw up. I don't think they've handled this one well.
No he ate the greyhound! He was not stepping up in practice so it has nothing to do with riding the bus! Hell I would do that if they gave me a scholarship. Either trust the coaches decisions or your not supporting this staff. We are not there at practice and workouts etc...and cannot see his work ethic which was obviously lacking.
