Kimber's are very good if you have the money. They can get pricey.

I'm looking at a Sig Sauer P238 in Desert finish at Gander. I like the feel of the extended mag...gives the pinky finger a spot to rest. Any experience?

Same here. I got my permit about a month ago. I will say invest in a good inside the waistband holster if you plan on carrying it around.

Dont forget a good belt, makes all the difference. Good ones are the wilderness belts, beltman gets high ranks on forums and The one i have is an Ares ranger belt, made out of the scuba webbing i love it.

I stumbled on a good deal in a gray one at jfloyds last year. Bought it with the intention of running it on a ball board and making a quick 100, but ended up keeping it. Really like that little gun. Can't say much for Gander though...

Then again, I'm one of those awful people that is ok carrying 9mm or .380...or even. 22 when the situation warrants.

I carry a .40, but IMO there's nothing wrong with the smaller calibers. Neutralizing the situation is neutralizing the situation.

If you're gonna go .40 you might as well go .45

I had a 23 and got rid of it. Not a bad gun, just see no point in having a .40

Any good hearing protection you recommend? It seems the electronic ones dont have a high enough NRR, using just plugs seems way too loud still

Ive seen those but do they block out alot of sound? I shot an ar 15 and 30-06 with just foam plugs and it was loud

Maybe gun shots is something you can adapt to.

Btw what do you think of the Magpul 6920 vs building a BCM AR for my first rifle?

I wear those at the range. I'm a Drill Sergeant and on the range a lot. They work very well.


I'd build. It's more fun
