CFP Show implies Ohio State to Orange

People judge Clemson QB based off some very suspect play calling and not the same talent on the outside as in recent past. He IS playing like crap...but...he has played well at times and in the past when he had appropriate talent.

That hasn't mattered to our defense this season...we let everyone have HUGE days in the pass game.
As bad as Clemson is statistically on offense, they would be effective against our defense.
But we would not be effective against their defense.

Our team still isn't built like a true contender yet. Even if Banks had not whatever...and Hendon stayed healthy. Even if we won the Natty this year, the team is not built to reload yet.

I disagree this boys would love to play NY6 Bowl against a sneaky talented Tulane team

I believe ut will most likely play Clemson so I guess we will find out.

Go to bed. You’ve had terrible takes all night and at this point I’m convinced you’re trolling.
What are you talking about?

DJ has a 3:1 TD:INT ration this season. with a WR group that is not as good as Tennessee's

Joe had 1 TD and 50 % completion against VANDY.

WITW is wrong with you all!!?

Milton's QBR vs Vandy in the wind and rain was 73. DJ's been below that in 6 of Clemson's 12 games this season. Generally well below it. His QBR for the whole season is 65. 8 below Milton in the Vandy game.

. I don’t know what these people can’t see in Milton I really don’t. We go 6-6 or 7-5 with Milton starting this season instead of Hooker I’m not even sure we win the Missouri game he’s not good. He’s not SEC starting QB material and at this point in his career the coaches can’t fix him I just hope Heup can find someone decent in the portal for next season. I Don’t hate the kid but he just doesn’t have what it takes to be a SEC starting QB there’s a reason Michigan let him go

OSU been there so much in recent history? I don’t know what they are talking about. They have only been there twice in the last 4 years. That’s not a lot.

Steve Spurrier quote probably…
You can’t spell rOSe Bowl without Ohio State.

It’s all about positioning right now for Alabama and Ohio state. If Alabama were 7 right now, with a USC and TCU loss, Alabama couldn’t make the playoffs at 7, they can at 6! It’s the committees last ditch effort to get Alabama in the playoffs! Now let’s say USC and TCU win. The committee may put Tennessee at 6 in the final rankings ahead of Alabama. Absolutely a possibility
Don't hold your breath. The committee doesn't have the balls to do that. If they let OSU in the playoffs I'm gonna puke.

Stop saying it’s not as good as UT’s. Their entire WR corp is unanimous 4-5* guys. UT’s may average a borderline 4*.

TD:INT ratio isn’t the only indicator of a successful QB. He’s been yanked in 2 separate games that I know of, for a true FR due to his inability to move the ball. As “bad” as Milton was against Vandy his QBR was still 73. DJ has had games of 14.5, 27.5 and 31. He’s a career sub 60% passer; he’s simply not a very good QB.

Joe Milton is no worse than DJ Uglakaisisjebajswb at Clemson. We can absolutely hang with Clemson with Joe at QB.
You guys thinking anyone on this roster can come out and hit deep balls like hooker did IS THE PROBLEM. We dont have another Hooker on this team currently. Hooker was the best deep ball thrower ive seen in a long long time. Joe has hit several deep balls this year and you guys give him 0 credit because it was mop up duty. But lord help us the sky is falling when he goes 2/5 on deep balls in monsoon weather. You guys are freaking rediculous.

Are you really out here trying to defend a QB that just went 8/29 for 99 yards, 1 TD and 1 INT against USCe?

Milton went 4-8 for 108 and 1 TD in like 2-3 drives against the same team.

And you're going to mention TD/INT ratio as well, which is a joke. Milton literally hasn't thrown an INT while he's been here. That's 116 attempts. He's also thrown for 9 TDs in what amounts to like 4-5 games played. That's the same as what DJ threw for all of last year. DJ has been better this year, but he's still pretty awful.

Milton isn't fantastic, but I'll take him over DJ anytime.

I think Milton is better than dj, but that is not aging much. As far as Milton haters, I think there is a fair share of them, I also think there are a lot more of Milton apologist. Some of you are so blinded by your defense of him, that if anyone critique’s his play you label them and just blindly defend him. He does overthrow. A lot. He seems to not be effective when we need him most. That has been masked this year by mop up duty. He wasn’t impressive at vandy, but there was rain, not monsoon, but rain. I’m pretty sure most vol fans hope he has heisman numbers next year, but you can’t blame us for being skeptical due to the same issues rearing their ugly head that he has had even before he left Michigan.

Was watching the College Football playoff reveal, and one of the talking heads said that because Ohio State has been there so much in recent history, the Rose Bowl would take Penn State instead. They then explain that would leave Ohio State as the highest ranked Big Ten or SEC team left which would send them to the Orange. Bama, as the highest ranked SEC team, would go to the Sugar. That would leave UT as the last man standing and go to the Cotton against a G5 team. Can they even do that?? I thought there were rules about the Rose Bowl having to select the highest rated Big Ten team.

It wouldn’t be the first time that a school rejected a bowl bid in favor of another. It often comes down to what is better for the conference. In reality, the Cotton Bowl has become the bastard step child of the NY6…
Michigan in the CFP, Penn State in Rose, OSU in Orange is better for their conference than Penn State shafted to the Cotton Bowl…
