CFP Show implies Ohio State to Orange

I’m telling y’all get ready for chaos. LSU beats Georgia, Kansas. St beats TCU, UTAH beats Southern Cal it will be LSU, Georgia, Bama and Michigan in final four now if Michigan loses it might be us or Ohio St probaly Ohio St since they have one loss

LSU could beat UGA 70-0 and LSU still isn't getting in the playoff.

And what happens if an unmotivated TN loses to Tulane?

Tulane may not even have a coach in 10 days. Willie Fritz has already been linked to GT before they removed the interim tag on Key. Cincy will surely have him on their radar. Colorado might also. Liberty was paying Freeze around 5 million so they probably have the money to poach Fritz too.

You are literally on crack rock if you think there’s a snowball chance in hell this happens, especially LSU. Put down the rock dude.

All those teams currently have no losses (aside from USC). UGA and Michigan games don't matter regardless of score. Both teams are in. OSU might slide in over TCU if they lose. Still a long shot, imo. If USC and TCU lose, then OSU moves to 4 and TCU probably remains idle b/c the committee will try to avoid a Michigan OSU rematch in round 1.

If true, just shows, again, the Rose Bowl has been the biggest whore in college football. They claimed for years they were the stud bowl but 2 local schools left the PAC12 basically telling the RB “FU”. Now they’ll let their Big10 school opt out.

The CFP committee should tell the Rose Bowl “sit the F down, you’ll speak when asked”.
This is actually supposed to happen in the next 12-24 hours in regards to CFP expansion. **** the Rose Bowl. They’ve been hamstringing college football for a long time just to keep their stupid parade and their coveted 2pm kickoff . Sick of their $hit

If tcu gets beat handily in their conference championship then they are not in. I can't see the committee choosing tcu over Ohio St if both are 1 loss teams without a conference championship. I think osu gets in at 4 at that point and plays uga

That's true. OSU could slide in over TCU in that scenario. I was more talking about if USC also loses in this scenario. TCU is in automatically if USC loses, regardless if they win or lose.

Agreed. If usc loses then tcu will likely still be 4. I'd almost think they'd move Michigan to the #1 seed at that point to stay away from mich/osu rematch initially

Was watching the College Football playoff reveal, and one of the talking heads said that because Ohio State has been there so much in recent history, the Rose Bowl would take Penn State instead. They then explain that would leave Ohio State as the highest ranked Big Ten or SEC team left which would send them to the Orange. Bama, as the highest ranked SEC team, would go to the Sugar. That would leave UT as the last man standing and go to the Cotton against a G5 team. Can they even do that?? I thought there were rules about the Rose Bowl having to select the highest rated Big Ten team.

If we get shafted on a good bowl, that's incredible.

This is where our AD needs to stand strong for us to get best bowl possible. The rose bowl should take Ohio State, that is what is supposed to happen. Why have any dadgum tie end if it can be broken by a crooked deal. Stand up to the BS!The Rose Bowl is supposed to take the highest ranked team period. The Rose Bowl has a history of wanting everything their way rules be damned. I can’t fathom why they wouldn’t want Ohio St anyway, they can prestige it all up and they are a big draw. GBO!

The CFP is on the brink of a field that doesn't include Ohio State, Alabama or Clemson. Let that sink in for a minute: Alabama, Clemson and Ohio State have claimed 17 of the 32 playoff spots. This season, Ohio State and Alabama didn't win their respective divisions. Their résumés are complete. At No. 9, two-loss Clemson is a playoff afterthought following its home loss to South Carolina, even if it beats three-loss North Carolina to win the ACC.

These committee a$$clowns will do everything they can to shove Alabama and Ohio St down everyone's throat sgain.

Fritz staying at Tulane.

Main reason they also want the playoffs to expand to 12 teams. Makes it easier getting Ohio State and Alabama in it every year.

I am for expansion too. If they are gonna make sure Bama and OSU gets in every year, may as well open it up a little more to some additional teams so it might promote some potential level of parity.

That’s silly. Ohio State is going to the Rose Bowl if they don’t sneak In the playoffs. Rose Bowl ain’t gonna say “nah forget the biggest Big 10 brand”

well that would probably happened if they play Tulane there is no way they would be up for that game, and I’m not to sure Clemson could be them .

People judge Clemson QB based off some very suspect play calling and not the same talent on the outside as in recent past. He IS playing like crap...but...he has played well at times and in the past when he had appropriate talent.

That hasn't mattered to our defense this season...we let everyone have HUGE days in the pass game.
As bad as Clemson is statistically on offense, they would be effective against our defense.
But we would not be effective against their defense.

Our team still isn't built like a true contender yet. Even if Banks had not whatever...and Hendon stayed healthy. Even if we won the Natty this year, the team is not built to reload yet.

I disagree this boys would love to play NY6 Bowl against a sneaky talented Tulane team

I think the way to 11-2 is playing Clemson in Orange Bowl. They will have opt outs also and their QB has trouble passing. Tulane or UCF probably won't have opt outs and it would be their Super Bowl.
maybe
