Saban has one national title and two undefeated regular seasons in a row at Alabama. Dooley has a win in the Independence Bowl. Not a favorable comparison.

And I'm hoping for 7-6. The good (and bad) thing is that the schedule eases up a lot towards the end. If the inexperience we have improves steadily over the course of the season, that may mean something. Going 7-6 after a 2-6 start is not out of the question. Hell, 7-5 after starting 2-5 isn't out of the question. I don't think we'll be favorites in Columbia, but that's one that could be stolen if things go well. It depends a lot on the shape of the learning curve.

his first year at Alabama he lost to Louisiana-Monroe and Also won the Independence Bowl that year.

Why are you trying to compare Dooley with Saban? There is no comparison there.

Pretty sure I knew that Saban lost to ULM his first year. Also pretty sure that almost everyone except you knew that, hence why you asked the question.
