Chances the Vols have a great recruiting class

I love how every single thread turns into a Dooley argument, sooner or later this is going to have to stop. He is here for at least three years, sit back, shut up and lets see what happens. There will be plenty of time later on to run him into the ground if need be.

From what i can tell, Coach Thompson is the only coach goin for 4-5. It just appears our other coaches are offering low rated recruits. Hopefully our coaches are after smarter football players that will evolve and represent the true orange regardless of our class rank.

IMO, we will have between a Top 10-15 class. It will be so weighted with lineman, that unless those guys are higher rated than most, it will bring down the signing class average. I'm not going to care what it's rated honestly, as long as they address the OL/DL problems, and bring in some more DB/S prospects. Other than that, I'm good with anything else.

So I was at KFC today and I tried a double down sandwich. ...... And it was good. ... And I think we all need to settle Down and let the battle of dooley sucks be decided in the win to loss category. And grilled is better than fried. Good day sir.

I think the idea is to try and get two quarterbacks this year. The linemen will bring down the rankings of this class and I will not even begin to project at this point where we will end up. I do think we will fill all of our needs though and get some bonuses along the way.

I've done an early projection of who we get and how they will be ranked...if I'm right we'll end up with roughly 2250-2300 Rivals points...which would land us (on average) somewhere between 6-10th

OL is the most difficult position to evaluate followed closely by DT. If they find the right guys and load up on 3* players in those positions then I will be perfectly satisfied with the class.

For example, I think most of us who have looked at the recruits from last year like Fulton alot. Probably better than Stone though he wasn't rated as high. Dan Williams and Vlad Richard look like pretty good 3* players right now.

Saban has one national title and two undefeated regular seasons in a row at Alabama. Dooley has a win in the Independence Bowl. Not a favorable comparison.

How many bowl games have Lane, Monte and Ed won together?

It would be nice to have ONE f'ing thread without someone mentioning LK or the f'ing Dooley haters spewing their displeasure with...well....all things Dooley.

I've said numerous times in other threads, this very same thing; I don't expect our '11 class to be highly ranked, i.e. only top 15 or so, due to the emphasis this staff will put on the OL and DL. SOME of those kids we sign might be those dreaded three or two stars players (on the DL) that are coveted by this staff, especially guys like CLT & CCS, who they believe have the tools necessary to play and excel in the SEC.

The rest of the class... :dunno:

Sorry, no way we get Rome. I don't think we're even recruiting Crowder.

No apology needed...I'm always interested in friendly critiques of my opinion...

It's a gut feeling with Crowder...

Rome and Grant are definitely long shots that I threw in there...but hey...most classes have a surprise or two...and our immediate playing time at TE and (to an extent) LB will be a big attraction to those 2
