To all the Strong haters have you ever even looked at his résumé? He has two rings as a DC. He has done as good as Saban at the same point. You can not compare apples to oranges. It has to be apples to apples. He can show plenty of players he's help get to the pros. He recruits south FLA well. He is winner where every he's coached.

I agree with this. I'm all in for Strong personally. While I'd love Gruden, from all I've read and heard there is less than a 1% chance he comes here IMO.

And you still have to coach players up. This is the whole reason people want dooley out, cause he can't coach talent. Strong can obviously coach better and with less talent than dooley has.

I am all in as well. I would take him today and never ask what happened to JG. Splash wise I wouldn't be the same but I want to win games not pr contest. I do worry about JG and a new inexperienced qb.

2. They played in a bowl last year right and what were they before he got there?
3. So who recruited those 3-9 NFL players and coached them? Please don't say they coached theirselves.

Look, I'm not even going to bring up race because for me it's not an issue if he's black, white, green, or purple I just want to win. Of all the names that have been thrown around (not withstanding Gruden which as we know NOW might be farfetched) I'd like Strong and Kirby Smart. Heck, I'd take a northerner or a west coaster (Chris Peterson) if they could take a viable BCS level program which Tennessee is and put it back where it deserves to be!

luis murphy, riley cooper, aaron hernandez, pouncy twins, chris raney, but yes you are right. Tebow was a 1 man show.

He was a highly successful D coordinator at florida. I guess most fans are more interested in getting the "sexy hire" rather than basing the decision on a coach's resume.

We would hang 50 on Louiville tomorrow but the would put up 60 plus Bridgewater would have a big game and Strong would make Dooley look bad as all coaches do.

He or Patterson would be my number 2 with Strong being my choice over Patterson. I want Gruden but if its true he wants almost 6 a year plus 1.5 for his OC and another 1.5 for his DC and not to mention the rest of the assistants i just am not sure UT will pay that. Hope they do but doubtful and if not bring on Strong he will recruit and do well here.
