You must have crushed the ACT with those reading skills and now math skills:
"Any particular reason why Strong is in the second group? Is there any rhyme or reason to your groupings whatsoever?"
"Where did list 1 get their start?"

That would be one person claiming ignorance
But back to topic, the traditional powers list and the last 25 years of national champions give you 3 categories of coaches:
1. Multiple 9 game winners
2. Top assistants who went directly to the team they coached to a NC
3. Coaches who did not win 9 games multiple times previously
#1 is 9 times more likely to win at the highest level, top assistants are 4 times more likely than #3.
It's pretty hard to win 9 times twice in three years when you take over a dumpster fire, no?
