I'm leery of change-for-the-sake-of-change, since CLK, CDD, but I can understand where you're coming from.

I honestly believe that UT is close enough that we don't need a 'home run'. Strong, as well as several on our supposed list, should be what the proverbial doctor ordered.

He can't cancel scheduled visits and can't tell a recruit that he might be leaving. Coaches do this all the time and will tell the recruit that he didn't intend on leaving but someone made too good of an offer. May or may not offer kid then.

No idea what Arky has up their sleeve. A buddy of mine is a huge Hogs fan, and he's been telling me it's Butch Davis for months...

Would love to see Strong here.

Agreed, and I would be highly disappointed with a CDD type of hire, but if we are indeed in the Strong, Gundy, Mora Jr type of hire, then I'm quite happy.

To be fair, I think Skeeter was always skeptical of Gruden. After that fiasco, I now trust Skeeter above them all.

Yep I missed that, got a little excited here's the one I'm talking about.

I think Hart will make an offer with in the next 24-48 hours. I think he will speak with Fisher today and i would be very surprised if anything came from that. I really dont think Fisher wants to play UF, Bama and UGA every year.

you may be right, I am just guarded now until I see Hart announce. I still prefer Fisher, Gundy, Tressel, and Davis to Strong, but I'm ready for the search to be over.

he plays Florida every year now. I thought I read in cliff notes that Hart may not talk to Fisher.

Totally agree with the first sentence, wasted way too much time in the Gruden thread following the "OG's." I would be satisfied with any of the names on your list. I really do think someone will be named Wednesday - Friday, but hopefully that isn't just a pipe dream.

I don't think that's a pipe dream at all. I think it's completely reasonable given the fact that hart has already interviewed 2-3 of his top guys. I can't imagine the search would drag on past the end of the week.

If we can't even pull Strong from Louisville, it will show how far our program has fallen in the eyes of coaches across the country. This is ridiculous.

When Grudenmania was in full swing over the last couple of weeks, skeeter said repeatedly that Hart was locked up tighter than a drum and no one really knew what he was doing.

Why have things now seemed to have opened up and skeeter has info?

Possibly because at that time, Hart really, truly hadn't begun the search yet haha.

He doesn't have a ton of concrete stuff, just stuff here and there.

It's things he hears in the AD, I'm guessing the more he hears things the closer they are to being true.
