Nearly 600 people have been killed in Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s (D) Chicago thus far in 2022.

WTTW reported 580 people were killed in Chicago during the time frame of January 1, 2022, through October 31, 2022. There were 61 murders in October 2022 alone.

As of November 5, 2022, the Chicago Sun-Times noted the total number of deaths in Chicago reached 584.

More than 3,000 people were shot in Chicago January 1, 2022, through November 2, 2022, WTTW pointed out. That figure represents fatal and non-fatal shootings combined.

Breitbart News observed that 14 people were shot in one incident on Halloween night in Lightfoot’s Chicago. CNN noted that three of the 14 victims were children ages 3, 11, and 13.

Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s (D) Chicago will end 2022 with the tragic figure of at least 723 murders for the year.

The Chicago Sun-Times reported the city was at 723 homicides for the year as of December 30, 2022.

Moreover, the Sun-Times observed motor vehicle theft in Chicago was up 95 percent in 2022, when contrasted with motor vehicle theft in 2021. Theft was up 50 percent, burglary was up ten percent, and robbery was up ten percent.

Horse manure! Gun stores will sell to anybody who can afford to buy the things. A few in certain locations will refuse to sell to minority buyers due to the store owner being a bigot. But mostly, if you got the money, profit-lust rules. Gun killings will continue to be a MASSIVE problem in the USA until we have the guts to do what Japan and Australia did about guns. But here, making a profit is king, whether the killing is done by guns, tobacco, alcohol, cop murder citizens, or pharmaceuticals such as opioids or something else. The USA doesn't have the guts or desire to put a stop to the insanity.

While I agree with your position on lust for profit, outlawing guns will do nothing. A justice system that doesn’t punish the law-breakers is our downfall. Making guns less accessible in NYC has only created a rise in stabbing..,,which also don’t result in jail time for the criminals.
