Chip Brown report: Texas A&M to the SEC

Lets see if A&M has the stones to tell the Big 12 and Texas to go f...

If the Big "12" is staying intact and the Big "10" is only adding one team, I really don't see it warrants the SEC joining the arms race by going after other schools.

I agree, if Texas stays put then the way things have shaken up really don't warrant any moves. If A&M still wants to jump ship you take them though.

The Pac 10 will have taken a lump if this does happen. They were by far the most aggressive in this realignment talk.

I wouldnt view the new reports coming out of Austin as Texas trying to "save" the conference.

Texas is putting the pressure on Texas A&M, trying to make them look like the bad guy, when it was Texas' greed that is going to destroy the Big 12.

Chip Brown has really let this whole thing go to his head. It's going to be a major blow to his ego in a few weeks when all the realignment talks are over and nobody outside of Austin cares about orangebloods anymore.

They can talk about Texas baseball, oh wait. We'll there will always be Will Muschamp to fall back on.

Yeah, the steers have an exaggerated sense of importance. A few years ago, while in the military, one of the jokes about the direction to Texas from the east coast was, "go west till you smell s___, then go south till you step in it.

I hope the salvage Big 12/10 rumors are true--I didn't like the direction realignment was going.

Texas could be talking out of both sides of its mouth.

Orangebloods, especially Brown, has been spot on this whole time. At the same time, some of their writers, the owner especially, has become a little to opinionated and has taken shots at TAMU and the SEC. Most of this has been via twitter.

ESPN is obviously the media giant here. They have been on this issue but, seem to have taken a backseat for most of this so far, deferring to Orangbloods. Now that this seems to becoming to a head, it would not surprise me to see them swoop in and take over the lead in getting the scoop.

A&M will do well in the SEC and collect the athletes that have been coming from Texas and Oklahoma to play for UT. This makes a lot of sense for the changes that Dooley new recruiting plan. He is going to concentrate more on regional recruiting
