I’m not arguing that Nico isn’t better than Moore. You’re likely correct. But as far as Saturday goes I’m not sure you’re correct. Moore threw a few great balls that were prob TDs if not for the PI. One if the TDs that Nico threw was a terrible throw that our receiver made a great adjustment on and came back to.Between the two QBs Saturday, Nico was better. Gaston Moore is not big enough of a drop off to be worried IMO but Nico is definitely the better QB.
How long has Moore been playing in this offense? 5 years.Moore is nowhere near as capable as Nico, hence why he's the backup.
ZERO chance with Moore to beat GA.
* I guess that one pass INT was JH holding the Nintendo controls...
The tight ends will need to be a huge part of the offense if it ends up being Moore. They have to be the safety valve and be those hot reads like Kitselman was on that 3rd and 7 when Miss St brought guys. They don't respect Gaston Moore's legs and there is no reason too. They're going to bring extras all day..
Per AP when someone mentioned Nico being in concussion protocol
Tennessee coach Josh Heupel said on Wednesday that quarterback Nico Iamaleava, who is in concussion protocol, has performed well in practice.
Iamaleava’s availability for Tennessee’s game at Georgia is among the biggest factors in the College Football Playoff race this weekend. He is practicing with the team but remains under evaluation after leaving the Mississippi State game with an injury.
No offense to the sentinel but I'm going to trust AP over them.He is in concussion protocol according to the Sentinel
Josh Heupel gives latest Nico Iamaleava injury update ahead of Tennessee vs Georgia
Tennessee quarterback Nico Iamaleava is in concussion protocol ahead of the Georgia game. Coach Josh Heupel updated his status on Wednesday.www.knoxnews.com
Yes-a buddy of Herbstreit if I recall correctly-that's how he got the gig. He was the "points spread dude" on the show. I guess he parlayed that into something bigger. Regardless, he's not a traditional sports reporter. I'm scratching my head as to why anybody pays attention to him, honestly. Contacts? Who knows.“The Bear” used to be on college gameday. Some kinda numbers guy or something but he may or may not have contacts
This is not correct. If the defense is lights out and the run game is working, Tennessee can absolutely beat this year's Georgia. 20-17 type of game. Nico hasn't been the X-Factor this year. All Moore has to do is not throw picks and hit some mid range throws.Moore is nowhere near as capable as Nico, hence why he's the backup.
ZERO chance with Moore to beat GA.

Not true. You guys act like Nico has been some QB god. He's been far from it. That’s not a knock on Nico. I think he will eventually be great. Moore would for sure have to protect the ball better, but could put up mediocre stats with the kind of games we’ve been calling. I’d argue that Heup has more confidence in Moore throwing after the calls we saw last week with Nico out.If Gaston plays we don't win. He isn't accurate enough and too reckless with trying to sling it down field. Offense would have to put long methodical drives together. Oline has to give Sampson some room and Gaston will have to consistently hit underneath passes. Maybe get lucky again with couple PI's downfield. Less possessions than normal, especially with UGA style of play as well. Would have to grind it out which is possible BUT Gaston would have to absolutely protect the ball. If we do lose it would probably be best case scenario with Gaston as starter, especially if we keep it respectable. Would give committee something to fall back on knowing our starter would be coming back.
Win or go home. Book it. We aren’t the media darlings text can get in with 2 losses.Well last year they held out a P5 conference champ because their QB was out. The committee is driven by money via ESPN. They want the best brands.. They may put Bama in over us with the same record because they love that script A and know it will drive engagement / money.
