Owned by my own post?
I may be a loser. The day I write an angry email comparing my rival's head coach to a genocidal dictator, then I will be an ignorant liser.
You fell in his obvious trap. You weren't winning on that. If a business does something you don't like as an American we can boycott. Not many other countries have that right. Eastern Tennessee is ran by a college football program in terms of economics. Saban should not be speaking in Tennessee.
I'm not sure you read my post past the first sentence. I said that any Bama fan boycotting a local business over a Fulmer appearance would be wrong. Your reading comprehension rivals your logic.
I'll post it on a bammer site....that way you'll be sure to never see it
You are correct, I won't see it. I don't prefer to talk with a bunch of people with no opposing viewpoints. When that happens, people whip themselves into a lather and start doing stupid stuff. That's how you breed boycotts and Harvey Updyke.
Why? Can we not choose to consume a product for a reason? We have consumerism for a reason. That's like the city of Boston asking Joe Torre to speak at a dinner in Boston harbor. Nobody would take that well. Enjoy your freedom sir. Have fun being mature by pulling out Ad Hominem. Why would you support Fulmer in Alabama? You're either boycotting or supporting on this one.
Choosing not to attend the event itself isn't a boycott. Choosing not to do business with someone you otherwise would is a boycott. You need to grasp the difference.
And yes, you absolutely have the right not to do business with someone because of a perceived slight to your favorite football team. You also have a right to take a dump on your living room caro et. You have the right to do a lot of really stupid stuff.
Crapping on someone's rug is vandalism which is wrong. You never said Boycotting is stupid. You said its wrong. It's not wrong, but a real crime like robbery is.
I know what a boycott is. I'm an economics major. . Boycotting a product because it supports something they dont agree with happens all the time. This just happens to be a less significant reason. Boycotts happen a lot nowadays....
I said 'your' carpet. You are really bad at reading.
And you are right, it is a very insignificant reason. If you were a butcher and the CoC brought in someone to discuss the benefits of veganism, then I could totally appreciate, and would likely support, a boycott. If football is affecting your life to a similar degree, then you should reassess your priorities.
5,508 posts on somebody elses something that you dont care about. How ridiculous do you sound.
Look dude. Here is the point. Where do you get off telling any of us on our board how much we should like our football team? It's none of your business. It's our God given right as Tennesseans to love and support our school to varying degrees. If you don't like that....shove off.
Who said I didn't care? I care about football quite a bit; just not enough to want to punish someone who slights my team. But, I have higher reasoning skills greater than those of a chimp, so that might play a part in our disagreement.
Trolling trolling trolling. Keep the bammer trolling. Again, none of your business to what level we love our team.
