Obviously you are all good with UT athletes flipping off opponent’s fans. Why make this about me. I’m not the coach of the team. Your guy is your guy. I just don’t like my school being embarrassed. Also why do you all think the only people who care about student athletes representing their school with class are old? Is being okay with crass behavior a part of middle age? I am not old but I always want my school to look good in the public eye.

These are fan twitter narratives that have no sway over our AD’s decision process. If it’s true that Harper could have saved her job with staff changes? Then this becomes even more cartoonish. I don’t see many FIRINGS in White’s past tenures. This is the first in Knoxville. Not exactly trigger happy! Seems he asks for positive progress in the programs and doesn’t micro-manage. I posted earlier that the EXPECTATIONS timer starts five seconds before the hire signs. But the expectations won’t be unrealistic imo.

Hammon should be our first target, IMO. I don't know how much she's making now--but I'm sure we could top it, and significantly. She'd have to convince me, as AD, that's she's keen to coach college basketball, and keen with the recruiting side of it, but if she didn't we couldn't do any better.

Shaefer and Moore are outstanding coaches--but age is a serious concern with both of them. They are 63 and 66, respectively. Not ideal.

UT is still what top 8 in attendance even though by UT standards attendance has been trending down. Having butts in the stands mean a lot to coaches. You have Coach Yo fighting for fan support and she been having a top 25 team these last few years.

She is making $1 million at the moment. And that’s after winning a championship. She would make double that just stepping on campus at UT.

It makes far more sense she was protecting Sam, since lack of recruiting has been identified as Kellie's downfall. Also bc the AD knew very well she wouldn't throw him under the bus.

People uncomfortable with the male working as assistant to the female have raised a stink about this for a long time. Problem is it's a growing trend with many sharp young female coaches in the modern world, which we will now have no chance at. The Jon haters just won a battle, even though they don't really know it was him. but cost themselves the war in the long term.

She will need to hire a rockstar staff to recruit, I dont think she has ever done that, thats the lifeblood of college athletics.

Tennessee lost 13 games this year, that may have played a part as well. They didn't even make it to the Sweet 16 so I don't get where "Final Four or bust" is in the lingo.

Perhaps Sweet 16 and Finish in top 25 or bust could be accurate (after being a preseason top ten team).

Attendance actually trended back up a bit this yr and is still top 8, or was. And you're right, Yo had to publically shame multiple people and bus in kids to get 3K for the game against us.

I agree he would be top of the list imo if Kara is not on the table he can recruit hell he stole Madison Booker out of our hands and his teams player harder than any team ive seen since the Pat summit days consistently . Msst and Texas both .

A couple of incidents happen everywhere on every team. It’s not like they’re out there doing it on a weekly basis. Calm down and look around the league before you go spewing this stuff.

Not in the least. If you look back at my posts I have said numerous times I would be okay with a WBB male coach. As a fly by this would be news to you I know. Why is it such an affront to you and the other flying monkeys that I don’t care for bad behavior. Are you all embarrassed you are all on board with it?
