People assuming or saying Hammon should think twice as shes a great PRO coach Spurs / Aces , this is college where kids and their emotions matter let alone the NIL so i would not be so sure to throw the bank at her without coaching on this level . Hell can she even recruit ? That's not required with her past job history ....

Ahahahaaaaa - "Wild Card: Shea Ralph." I can't. I can't. My sides. My heart. I can't. I don't have anything against her as a coach or a person or whatever, but I can't even.

Can you imagine the first time some of her former UConn buddies would visit her and parade around Tennessee's facilities? They'd probably make fun of everything. Or scribble on the Graduation Pole, or stomp all over the Summitt logo, or God only knows what. I can just see the photos leaking out of it. Taurasi spinning around in Pat's seat with a faux "oooh scary" look on her face.

It would be the firestorm to end all firestorms. A plague of hellfire from the Smokies to the Mississippi. The women's basketball equivalent of a nuclear exchange.

AGAIN, even if it were possible on the UConn/LV scale, she and many other promising young coaches are off the list because apparently E TN is just not ready for a husband/wife coaching team. We've started setting limits already.

It's not even that. Kellie had Rickea, as Iowa had Caitlin, as Conecticut had Paige, as LSU had.. etc. To be blunt, that incredible talent was wasted because Kellie is not an elite coach. Kellie didn't even do as good as Holly.

Sad to see. More half of the Power 5 women’s teams are playing in front less than 2,500 on game nights and some not seeing more than a thousand. Resorted to having to give tickets away.

People uncomfortable with the male working as assistant to the female have raised a stink about this for a long time. Problem is it's a growing trend with many sharp young female coaches in the modern world, which we will now have no chance at. The Jon haters just won a battle, even though they don't really know it was him. but cost themselves the war in the long term.

Wasn’t it reported by our “resident NIL expert” that NIL would be improving? If that is true, Kellie stepping in Sam doesn’t make sense. It’s been stated by those “in the know” that we were missing out on recruits to due to NIL alone.

Hopefully it was true that they finally got an NIL bag, bc who would take this job without it? We're all speculating out our arse, but maybe they just didn't trust Sam to spend it. Or more likely, didn't trust all of them to spend it. Now they've gotta get someone huge in here pronto to make it work.

I have been calm all day, sad but calm. The people losing their minds are the ones defending bad behavior in our baseball program.

If Kellie let Sam go, she would be looking for her 3rd recruiting coordinator going into year six (!)

She let Lacey go after two years. The issue was never the recruiting coordinator, IMO.

Agreeing to mutually part ways sort of implies she quit. I don't think would want to stiff her out of the buy clause. How you treat your last coach impacts how future prospects view you...

I think even UCONN fans would have a problem with one of their own becoming a Vol coach. Agree can't see that happening. LV fans would revolt like the FB fans did over the Schiano hire.

Lol, I absolutely loved Gaulden flipping the Bama fans off. I Loved Danny White and Donde telling The Ncaa to screw themselves and having the balls to bring this to legislation well before the Ncaa came back. I love the baseball team with an us against everyone mentality. Emotion is part of the game. Do I want our kids flipping off officials or Umpires ? No. But banter between teams is the new norm. Can't be soft but must be able to handle what you dish out. I didn't love our fans delaying a football game with mustard and golfballs.
