That is actually a pretty good comparison though. I can so see Lucy running up to many of us and waiving her hand in our face after a big Kellie Harper win saying "HOW DO YOU LIKE ME NOW!!?" 🤣

Dude, you posted just to say that you had blocked Lucy who you otherwise had no issue with (in response to a post asking people to back off the negativity toward her)?

I think you need to re-read the post. I unblocked her because I don't have any issues with her, and because I don't hold any negativity towards her... that was sorta the point of the comment and why I "liked" your post about not being negative towards her. ;)

Nah. Standard coach speak after a tough loss in the elite8. If Danny wants, Gottlieb, he will get Gottlieb. They don't have the resources and won't make the financial commitment that would be required to keep her if we come knocking. I would love to see her bring that slew of 5 star talent with her too...

Question:

Would you want Gottlieb over Hammon, or Hammon over Gottlieb.

Both are interesting with the NBA coaching experience. Gottlieb has proven she can win at the college level and clearly knows how to recruit. She has a loaded class this year and more 4-5 stars coming in.

That's going to be a LOT of traveling back and forth across the country. Might as well just come to Ktown and have some short flights around the southeast.

to say "I have never had any issue with her" would be a lie... and the one thing I'm not, is a liar. So be mad if you'd like. I wasn't being negative towards her.

The reality is its not going to be nearly as bad as it sounds. Its 9-10 games depending on how many games they play in conferences and the trips will be piggy backed (i.e. at Penn State on Thurs/Fri and then at Maryland on Sat/Sun. At most 5 trips during a two month span East and they'll have the money to charter.

JMO. None of the final 4 coaches are on the list. My take is that the interviews will take place late this week or weekend so the final 4 coaches are out.
I don’t think DW has narrowed his list down to one yet. After talking with agents and getting feedback from who is interested, he has or will target 4-5 individuals he is very interested in and will interview them. He doesn’t want to put all his eggs in one basket yet in case that basket backs out (although he may be leaning toward one or maybe two).
Hopefully the interviews are two way conversations where DW will get a better feel as to which ones are better recruiters, coaching style, better fit, etc.. The candidates will be feeling him out about how much support they will get, about NIL, about assistant coaches, maybe salary, duration, buyout, etc..
After the interview he will list them by order of preference and starting with the first one, contact them or their agent and see if they still want the job and work out an agreement if yes. Otherwise he will go to option 2.
I think we will know by Tues. or Wed. of next week.

This is a hard one for me. I think I would take Gottllieb for the sake of recruiting. She would likely bring some of her players.

But I think Becky is the better coach. I really want an elite Xs and Os coach who has edge/swagger. Becky just has that IT factor.
