Coach Kellie Harper fired

The part that hurts the most, malice aside, is that she's not wrong on the things you mentioned. That's what everyone here hopes will change with this hire.
Yeah but intent matters whether it’s true or not… also in her professional setting it’s so low class to be a steward of wbb

Well she predicted we would be in the bottom of the SEC and that never came to pass and also many of these comments were made when Kellie had us at number 4 on the country so she had to bring us up… you’d just have to hear it for yourself

This notion that McGraw hates Tennessee is nonsense - and I've heard others mention Carolyn Peck as well. They are just doing their jobs as analysts on ESPN and critiquing the same things that "fans" on this board also critique ad nauseam. In fact, when Peck does color commentating, I've always felt she leaned in Tennessee's favor.

Don’t watch much ACC network do u. She respects Pat but HATES TN. Constantly says why would anyone go there Pats not there. They haven’t won in blah blah blah u know all the talking points

I can’t stand Muppet and her puppet

I'm quite sure you've distorted any comments McGraw has made about UT. I'm quite sure she's never said "why would anyone go there." That's an absurd comment and one she would never make. I'm sure she's very loyal to Notre Dame. I wish we'd hired her long ago; she's one of the five best coaches in the history of the game.

Got it. Replaced the women’s golf, track and cross country, rowing (retired) coaches, lost the good soccer coach and promoted the assistant, and extended everyone else. Brought the football Coach with him, of course. Thanks for the info.
Losing Pensky wasn’t his fault. FSU is the best women’s soccer job in the country. There was never going to be a way for Danny to keep him.

Lol no… she’s a bitter lady.

Again I’m not arguing with anyone who doesn’t watch and listen. Y’all in a big orange bubble or and SEC bubble. I’m not. When’s the last time u listened to commentary that’s not SEC or main like ESPN. There’s a lot.

Oh Creek, CJ has been trying to be on better behavior. Time to turn the other cheek. I am being serious here....

You're right, of course. I was thinking that it was such a long-running gag that it had ceased to annoy people and that CJ enjoyed, but I'll listen to conventional wisdom and let it dwell in the past. Sorry, no offense meant to CJ or anyone else.

I don’t see anything scary about replacing a coach that was mediocre in every sense of the word. Wasn’t able to coach up to the level of talent on the squad and wasn’t particularly good in her previous stints.

Mediocre? Her teams consistently finished third in the SEC, and she got to two sweet sixteens. That's better than mediocre. It's actually pretty good by most standards, just not up to UT's standards for the program, but better than mediocre.

I think DW should offer the job to Bruce Pearl, and pay him whatever he wants to make it worth his while. That gets Bruce back to UT, and we can have a united basketball fan base for the first time since he left.

That is my fantasy hire!!! His positive energy would connect with any motivated player regardless of gender. Plus he and Pat were besties. Great coach to boot. That would be a super high profile move.

Again, his discussion with CP3 during the NCAA half-time, singing the praises of LV basketball, made me think, huh? could something be afoot.

Honestly, the viable options in the women's college coaching circle are kind of limited. A true "home run" hire might require some out of the box thinking....

Okay, was waiting on a response like this. Most people understood what I meant, but yes, it was my fault for not articulating my thoughts concisely.

You missed the earlier post that said DW spent $400,000 million dollars on the stadium renovation. I was having some fun with that post. Cause I do think $400,000x1,000,000 is approximately a bazillion.
But thanks for the very condescending post

Sorry didn't see that one, but your welcome.

Peck is almost too much of a fan calling games. Her and Courtney Lyles together are two pro-Tennessee fans with mics and an audience
