Agreed, Coach Sanders will not be in Boulder in three years, my guess will be the nflI don't have a "narrative" .... I have an observation that Deion Sanders isn't recruiting high school talent, but rather, looking to build short term success through the portal. My opinion is that is not a sustainable path to success over the course of a 4 year period. I would show Michigan State's fluctuation from 2-5 to 11-2 and back down to 5-7 as evidence.
We will see how things turn out ... but I believe Colorado is fool's gold. They will be just as bad in 3 years as they have ever been.
What makes you believe that? What has he shown in the college game at this point? Had a few better athletes in HBCU and lost the big games. It seems he is HC in name at a Colorado who has surrounded himself with talent much like Dabo did at Clemson. He’s a tremendous recruiter and face of a program. But why what has he done that would make him an NFL coach? I like the excitement he’s brought for Colorado and the teams he’s playing but to me he’s an only a HC in name.Agreed, Coach Sanders will not be in Boulder in three years, my guess will be the nfl
Being the face of the program, leading/overseeing recruiting, and hiring a good staff is like 95% of being a college HC. He is by no means a HC in name only. What makes you believe that? Agreed. It’s an odd season so far and the Prime story has been very interesting/polarizing. I’ll be interested to see how the rest of the season is covered after USC beats them this weekend .In a season where the SEC is down and there’s no dominant team emerging, the Colorado story is what CFB needed.
Love him or hate him, people are talking and paying attention.
I don't think it's that he flipped the roster, more how he went about it.You can’t make chicken salad out of chicken $hit.
Deion inherited 1-11 talent, realized it, and upgraded the roster.
I don’t get why he’s being criticized for this.

Despite the results on the field those players he ran off bled and stayed with their team through their lowest times.
They deserved some respect other than just GTFO!
You can say what you want to ... At some point, Colorado's football program will pay a price for this current non-Class of 2024 High School recruits that's being assembled. For some here, it is that he flipped the roster…as if scholarships are locked in for four years.
For others, it’s how he flipped the roster…as if he should have been softer with the messaging following a 1-11 season.
Had he not flipped the roster, CU doesn’t go into Eugene undefeated and the Deion hire is immediately deemed a failure.
He was brutally honest in that first team meeting to leave zero doubt of what his plans were, feelings be damned.
If you’ve ever been involved in a corporate merger, or massive org chart changes in an underperforming business, Deion’s first team meeting was a walk in the park.
God forbid UF or UT suffers a 1-11 season. But if that did happen, I’d want the next guy to gut the program and start fresh…and shoot straight with the messaging. Deion’s doing just that.
I don’t have a vested interest in the future of Colorado football. I’m just enjoying the diversion this story provides during an otherwise forgettable CFB season. You can say what you want to ... I'm not saying the portal is a good thing but players are "jumping" as they wish, so Prime showed teams can "shove" as they wish.I don't think it's that he flipped the roster, more how he went about it.

Have fun losing to Kentucky (AGAIN!) on Saturday.I don’t have a vested interest in the future of Colorado football. I’m just enjoying the diversion this story provides during an otherwise forgettable CFP season.
But for the sake of your argument, I hope you’re right. Because it feels like you really want to be right.
This is more of where I’m at. Haven’t seen anything outside of self promotion/team promotion that he knows how to coach at this level. Colorado needed a boost and got it…Deion needed a P5 job and got it. Earlier I stated he was a HC in name.Deion is doing right now what he did during his career....... promoting himself...... Only now he's promoting his sons. I believe that's the end game, help get his sons into the league.
I don't think they care. Again, people have mentioned this a million times in this thread but it bears repeating - they went 1-11 last year. Since 2006, they've had 9 seasons where they won 4 or less games. Getting any kind of ROI on Deion is worth it for them. You can say what you want to ... Could be right. I just don't think some of the talking heads who are going overboard with the hype, realize that he's not recruiting any high school talent to speak of, and the position that is going to leave them in 3 years from now ... when he probably won't be there.I don't think they care.
