Coaching Carousel Thread

I'm really surprised Miles isn't already the HC at Purdue.

Kiffin to Houston makes some sense. Think Oregon will be after him as well. Wonder if he'd have any interest in the Nevada opening?

Makes me wonder if they aren't willing to pony up the money for him and his staff? Just a thought.

If Oregon even considers kiffin, I'll choke... The guy is scum and I'd hat to have him at Oregon.

Surprised Kiffin is even interviewing at Houston. I figured he'd think that job is beneath him.

Stepping stone. He wants to get back into the driver's seat at a major Power 5 school. He really messed that up at UT and USC. But now he's done a good job as OC for a few years. If he can show he can manage a program as head coach outside the Power 5 he should get a spot in a Power 5 in 4 years. I wouldn't interview him though if I was Houston, unless its for OC.

I'd be looking at Lincoln Riley if I were Oregon. He's a bit on the young side, but he's a serious up and comer in the coaching world.

I think they're done with "up and comer" OCs with no prior HC experience.

I figured he saw the Alabama OC job as that stepping stone back to a P5 HC job.

I wouldn't put him in charge of a kid's lemonade stand. Stand there and pour sugar in the lemonade while under adult supervision? Sure, but any school that gives him the reins to their program is idiotic.
