Don't get me wrong, I don't think it's limited to just OSU players. It's prevalent throughout all of D1 football and eventually lead to it's demise.

Despite UT's struggles, I have found the game to be better than ever in the past decade.

I haven't looked into the financial aspects. Is D1 NCAAF tanking?

I think a top 30 QB would be a starter, and I don't think he's a starter. That's why I said top 60, because that would have him coming off the bench as a back up, which is what I think his talent level is.

The game is ok, some of the newish rules are hurting it IMO but thats just my old school opinion.

When the game gets too political, the players become more "look at me" than team and get the power to publicly shame a coach over silly **** the fanbase will decline.

Hey, should we outlaw beer and liquor t-shirts so as not to offend recovering alcoholics? Aren't they struggling enough without seeing the reminders on t-shirts everywhere. Bunch of insensitive bastards out there if you ask me.

The top 30 QB's don't start. Some starters are young guys who teams are investing in for the future. Sometimes a backup on one team is better than a veteran starter on another. Bridgewater was probably better than 10 starting QB's last year. Say in 2020 Kap goes to the Ravens and LJ gets hurt, I think Kap has a very good chance at being a top 12 QB. There aren't a ton of guys that you could throw on any team and have a top 12 season.

I get why you're saying he's not top 30, but I don't get how you arrive there because he has never played like he's outside the top 30.

My father worked in the tobacco business. He always said the warning labels and advertising bans that were applied to tobacco products in 1969 should have been applied to alcohol as well. I agree with him.

So we should just outlaw any designs on t-shirts. Plain t-shirts for all! That will keep us from offending anyone. I've never considered how my UT shirts could offend opposing fan bases. I've learned my lesson.

If memory serves, that contract that the Broncos offered Kap was back in the day when the 49ers were still paying him and he would've lost money. I'll try to back that up

Yup, that link is leaving out some really important facts. Elway was referring to the 2016 contract where Kap would've taken a $5M pay cut.
