College Hoops Around The Country [TN opponents, RPI, others]

I think an NIT bid would be appealing enough. You get to likely go to a P5 school's homecourt and have an outside shot at Madison Square Garden if you make the final four of the NIT. For a small school, that has to be enticing still. I just don't like the idea of regular season's having their value diminished, and I'm sorry but if you are 10-23 Sacremento State, you have no business being in the NCAAT anyway.
That’s why the NIT now guarantees spots for regular season conference champs. That was a great decision.

Saint Thomas of Northern Colorado stat line from last night.
12/6/9 with 6 turnovers.
I'm no scout, but I don't think the guy has the athleticism to really impact this league. Just wasn't that impressed with him. If Dalton hadn't come from that program, would he still be a guy we're talking about?

I watched the Idaho State game the other day and Thomas is really good all around player. Had an off night shooting somewhat but overall pretty good player.
I don’t think he’s gonna be a Knecht and would hope nobody puts that pressure on any transfer that any school gets, but yes, he looks like a solid player at this level imo

I’m not super excited for the 5 posts a day complaining about how we are missing a “Knecht” style player from our roster.

As if they grow on trees.

As I said in an earlier post, he fills a need on next year's team, but no one should expect a Knecht-like impact. Thomas isn't near the athlete. Much more JJJ than Knecht.

Brought to you by the same people to compare every front court player to grant williams and ask “how good would we be in Kennedy chandler had stayed for his junior season?”

Went from one extreme to another that quick. Just from posting a stat line of a potential portal player, that CRB might be interested in.

Unfreaking believable.

Saint Thomas averaged 19.7 ppg/ 9.8 rebounds/ shot 48% this season .

Now spin that

The least surprising move of the season.

They’re probably regretting not pulling the plug after last season unless his buyout was more than they were willing to pay at that time.

Way too premature in my opinion. Dude doubled his win total from the previous season. He was starting to get things rolling

Unfortunately, when you go 8-24 overall for the season and 3-17 in conference play which is dead last in the ACC, the seat gets quite hot.
He definitely was liked by players, especially BHH but I don't think he created a great rebuilding culture at Louisville. Some of that requires holding his players to a standard and being more accountable on both ends of the floor.

He was a complete disaster, and went out in a blaze of glory at the post game presser last night, taking no accountability.

Kansas is without Dickinson and McCullar and Cincinnati who is a solid team is only favored by 2.5. Too easy of a bet? Just curious what others think. Feel like no way Kansas keeps it that close.

Kansas still has talent, wouldn’t be surprised at all if they win it, I actually would like Kansas ML
