Yeah I see your point especially on Gates, when I think of Louisville basketball you could easily argue they are a top 15 program all time in basketball so expectations are just higherI will wait and see on Paris, yes he has had a great year. Though Dennis Gates pulled the same season at Missouri with a team full of portal players last season, how did he do this year?
I just don't think 2 years is an adequate amount of time to judge a coach, hell Stackhouse is still at Vanderbilt lol.
Same, but I also thought they’d cover against vandy. So I’m not the best to consult here.
No doubt. This Arky team just goes full drunk sometimes and that’s hard to account for.I just think Arkansas is playing a lot better lately. They’ve been scoring at a much higher clip, and South Carolina isn’t exactly an offensive juggernaut. I can see Arkansas scoring 80+ again but the Gamecocks just not having enough offense to pair with their great defense to win.
lol yes that’s exactly who he reminded me of. My 11yr old daughter whom doesn’t watch or follow sports whatsoever actually just commented “Missouri sucks” from just a few minutes of watching itHe does look like an Ent from The Lord of the Rings. Henceforth Vanover shall be known as Treebeard.
Seriously, I haven’t seen a Missouri game this year. May be one of the worst college teams I’ve ever seen. Twelve minutes in and not in double figures yet.
Louisville has the resources to pull just about any coach they want. The Payne hire was forced on an interim AD by a vocal group of former players and a president pushing a DEI agenda on the heels of the Breonna Taylor occurrence. This is true, but UT football has double the resources, minimum, that UL basketball has. UL’s height as a program came because their atheistic department was so broke that they pulled money from their endowment fund (illegally) to support athletics. Under the watchful eye of the NCAA, they don’t quite have all the resources that many may think.
