College Hoops Around The Country [TN opponents, RPI, others]

kind of like Tennessee having two losing seasons in a row in football?
What happened at Louisville was way worse than “losing seasons.” They didn’t go 15-17 in back to back years. This is a top 10 all-time basketball program going 12-52 in two seasons. That would be the equivalent of the UT football program going 4-20.

Yeah I see your point especially on Gates, when I think of Louisville basketball you could easily argue they are a top 15 program all time in basketball so expectations are just higher
They are a consensus top 7-8 program of all time. Payne should’ve been fired after going a program worst-ever 4-28 in year one.

Louisville has the resources to pull just about any coach they want. The Payne hire was forced on an interim AD by a vocal group of former players and a president pushing a DEI agenda on the heels of the Breonna Taylor occurrence.
Lmao good grief. Politics forum is 2 clicks back and a scroll down.

Let the coaching carousel start spinning as Louisville and West Virginia start off the coaching vacancies.

This is true, but UT football has double the resources, minimum, that UL basketball has. UL’s height as a program came because their atheistic department was so broke that they pulled money from their endowment fund (illegally) to support athletics. Under the watchful eye of the NCAA, they don’t quite have all the resources that many may think.
There was also no transfer portal
