Colorado Springs nightclub shooting

Two law enforcement sources told CNN records show Aldrich purchased both weapons brought to the attack, an AR-style rifle and a handgun.

Prior to Saturday’s shooting, the suspect was arrested in June 2021 in connection with a bomb threat that led to a standoff at his mother’s home, according to a news release from the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office at the time and his mother’s former landlord.

Two law enforcement sources confirmed the suspect in Saturday’s shooting and the bomb threat were the same person based on his name and date of birth.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report by the man’s mother that he was “threatening to cause harm to her with a homemade bomb, multiple weapons, and ammunition,” according to the release. Deputies called the suspect, and he “refused to comply with orders to surrender,” the release said, leading them to evacuate nearby homes.

Several hours after the initial police call, the sheriff’s crisis negotiations unit was able to get Aldrich to leave the house, and he was arrested. Authorities at the time did not find any explosives in the home.

The two law enforcement sources who said the suspect purchased the firearms also told CNN his arrest over a bomb threat would not have shown up in background checks because the case was never adjudicated, the charges were dropped, and the records were sealed. It is not clear what led to the sealing of the records, they said.

As grief grips Colorado Springs after a mass shooting at an LGBTQ nightclub, officials are investigating whether it was a bias-motivated crime | CNN

Turns out it really was a bias-motivated crime committed by a mentally ill alphabet person.

If you kill for $, you'll get more time than somebody who killed because temporary insanity. You'll get more time for killing in a crime of passion than you would killing somebody who abused your love one.

You couldn't think of any motives that determine level of punishment? I could go on.
Those are separate cases. We have one case here. You cant claim insanity on 2 killings while pleading guilty on 3 others. At least if it's one incident.

If you are paid to kill 1 person, but end up killing 2 others, are you charged less for the 2 you werent paid for? If you are paid to kill person X but end up only killing person Y are you charged less? You killed for the same reason.

He killed all of these people with the same mindset, whatever it was. Just because he might have been mistaken about some of the victims doesnt mean he should be charged less for those deaths. It's disgusting to even suggest.

So then a hate crime from the LGBTQ towards the cis community? Or just a mentality I'll individual...
Or "just" 1 person murdering 5 people and wounding more than a dozen others.

We have to stop focusing on the people, the hate part of the argument, and focus on the action itself, murder. Everyone is letting themselves get distracted and divided on what is a very clear issue.

So a LGBTQ community member shot up other members of the community..... Do Dems ready this the same as black on black crime and ignore it.
There was a Walmart shooting yesterday. The Dems and liberal media will just skip to that horrible incident and see if they can Jussie up some MAGA angle. They will continue to ignore all the previous incidents that don't fit their initial reaction and narrative like NBC blaming Libs of Tik Tok and Tucker Carlson for this initially. Some will still try to pin this Alphabet on Alphabet crime to Trump/MAGA culture and make the suspect a victim also. They are just following their leader's example. Remember Biden's creepy Hitler red background speech denouncing and blaming MAGA?
In 2021 there were a record number of mass shootings in this country and this year is on pace to match or exceed that record. We have a mental illness problem in this country. In this case the suspect who now "identifies" as "nonbinary" had previously threatened to blow up his mother with a homemade bomb and had been in a standoff with law enforcement. His mostly absentee father was previously a drug dealer and porn actor and his mother is mentally ill.
