Columbus teen shot by police

If cops are going to be vilified when they take appropriate action, then the communities which are in the most danger will have to start policing themselves. Older members remember the guardian angels of NYC in the 70s/80s. That would be the best model to follow.
Nice edit. I was just about to assault you with a vicious application of Pythagorean’s Theorem

Oh Ricky, you lovable lug, don't ever change.
It's true, there are several groups attempting to prevent officers from carrying tasers, which are effective in some situations but not universally. Any type of use of force by officers these days is subject to the "why did they grab, trip, hold, handcuff, taze, pepper spray, chase, shoot, hit with baton, yell" at that poor guy who was just running, resisting, fighting, shooting, stabbing, trying to run them over, etc.

Imagine if the police waited until a perp actually killed someone before using lethal force? It almost seems that's the direction we're headed in. People somehow seem less interested that another life was saved by taking down a violent offender.

Doesn't fit the current narrative and path we're currently on. Disregard the positive outcome from this situation and focus on the negative, driving division and hate between all of us based upon what the MSM and elected officials present as facts from their version of the events.

I was just poking the bear a little bit with my reply. No harm intended.

I don't doubt there is immense scrutiny no matter what method is used. It would seen to me there would be even more with deadly force though. Unfortunately, may have to go with the lesser of two (or more) evils here.

The other issue is that the MSM looking for that IMMEDIATELY gloms onto false or misunderstood narratives by emotional morons who know the family or live nearby.

This shooting, the neighbors did a live FB feed and stated "i saw the police pull up and she looked at them and he yelled for her to drop her knife and she did and he executed her by shooting her in the head and chest 5 times"

This is why the Michael Brown fake news story of "hands up don't shoot" and "he was just jaywalking when he was executed on his knees" caused the beginning of BLM and this whole false narrative of police hunting down innocent black people to execute...because the MSM WANTED to believe these morons

That’s what’s going to start happening.

Start?

We've have little more societal downgrading since then.
