Me too about TAMU. I think their first target is Schlossnagle at TCU. Let''s hope their focus stays on him.

Regardless of which schools come calling, White and UT still need to be proactive and not reactive. I'm not concerned about whether or not they will be able to give CV and his staff salary raises. It's their commitment to investing in what CV wants re: LNS stadium upgrades that's most important.

If Fla coach goes to LSU, then there's an opening at Florida, which at a very warm weather school with all that talent and money would be a coveted job. A&M is open, a great job by anyone's measure. And if CV leaves, UT will be open. So, a lot of AD's will have to ante up to keep their coaches. You are correct. The price of admission just got a lot higher.

This will be the biggest off-season in college baseball in quite some time and for quite some time in the future. Keep CTV this year and we’re golden for awhile.

Not quite. Coaches will stay at something like 4.5-5.0 million per year at a place they are comfortable and have already won instead of say, take a new challenge at 6-7 million where they may not succeed. Life changing money is when they take new jobs.

If LSU throws 1.6 or better at CTV, we will not match, IMO.
His “want to be here” has to make up the difference of what UT will offer him to stay.
Let’s hope they get choice 1 or 2.
